It's hard to evaluate any restaurant on Valentine's weekend. My pasta was just so-so, but the short rib my dining partner ordered was very good. Overall, I fould Sofia to be pricey but decent.
We went here for Valentine's Day 2026. We were seated shortly after checking in for our reservation. The waitress had great recommendations for shareable dishes. Food portions were large and we had plenty leftovers to take home! The restaurant interior is super cozy and fun atmosphere.
I have been to this restaurant multiple times and I love their pasta each time so my fiancé and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at the restaurant. I didn't know it was only a prefixed menu for that day and I don't eat seafood or pork so the menu choices were very limited for me. Also, the bread that they serve at the beginning was very hard and cold which is never the case when we go. The spicy vodka pasta that I ordered, was very dry and slightly warm. So I was honestly very upset with our experience this time around.
We showed up for our Valentines Day reservation and there was a line of approximately 50 people, apparently who all had reservations also. A man acknowledged us, took our name and then disappeared and never returned. A woman came out and began to start seating people and would not even look at us. We ate next door. Looked like we would have waited about another hour or more to be sat or even spoken to about the overbooking. Way to communicate with people about the inability to properly reserve your restaurant! Would have been nice to at least been spoken to about how much longer they would taken trying to accommodate. So rude!
I really did not enjoy the food. We had three different dishes. I personally will not be going back. The staff were friendly. However I the food was just not at all what I expected. I took one bite out of the appetizer. There was a line out the door so I imagine people do like the food but we definitely will not be going back.
The food was outstanding!!!! The drink I had was a little too sweet and it's very loud, so hard to engage a conversation.
The only vegan options are the risotto and you can get pizza without cheese.
Loved this place! The food was absolutely perfect and the service was fast, attentive, and friendly. The atmosphere is what really sets it apart! it feels like you're dining on the streets of Sicily, with terrace along walls and clotheslines hanging overhead. And the tableside tiramisu - Easily the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back.
Very consistent. The food is amazing. The service is very attentive. It just gets very loud, partly due to the loud Italian music that they pipe in. Otherwise, no issues whatsoever...love this place.
Great spot for Sicilian Italian food. Excellent service from the staff and many great flavors to explore. Quality food to enjoy in amazing ambiance to make you feel at an Italian home.

Great food & service especially for New Year's Eve. We for the most part loved the food, were serviced well by the staff
Penne Primavera - the sauce was delicious and the veggies tasted fresh. Very close to the Montrose airport.
Very kind and attentive waitstaff-- praise to them all. Our choice to dine here was linked to theatre tickets, and the menu looked amenable to the range in our party. Outcome: decor and ambiance tips the needle into super kitschy; wine is market price per glass ($13-ish) yet very average in flavor-- didn't finish it; Caesar salad was tasty, generously dressed, and plentiful enough for sharing, but not out of this world; truffle fries were pale and short on flavor-- unfortunate timing that my spouse brought home the same side dish from a BBQ place that tasted better; seafood in the risotto was tender and well cooked-- the rice grains were not; bread in the house basket was hard. I do not want to disparage anyone trying to run a much appreciated small business, but deferring to what each dollar buys a consumer is also important.
I came here for date night with my girlfriend. They were extremely accommodating. We arrived 20 mins early to our reservation and they were able to get us a seat sooner than anticipated. While we weren't aware of the prefix menu that was happening that evening, the 25th of December, the dishes that were offered on hand were diverse enough to let us have a great selection of choices for ourselves. As someone in charge of creating and designing cocktail menus, I would like to commend them for their use of mezcal on their cocktail the Lighting Bolt. It was really refreshing, not too sweet, and had a great balance without letting the mezcal overpower the flavor. Kudos for their creativity. Our one complaint is that we found the rice in the risotto was a tad bit undercooked, but don't let that be the end-all-be-all. The flavors for the dishes were great overall, and definitely see ourselves coming back here another evening.
We made a last minute reservation on Christmas. It was our first visit and my family already wants to make it a Christmas tradition. It was quite busy; we were greeted with kindness, seated promptly, our server Sofia was great, and the food was delicious. It is such a cute restaurant with nice ambiance. We will definitely be back and recommending to others.
