Crooks, still taking orders at closed Monument restaurant. Charging for online orders.

Couldn’t even eat the ribs. Ugh. Service soooooooooooooo slow. Just don’t. Best thing was the $ 2 beers and try weren’t even cold. Just don’t go there

Food was pretty overpriced. The combination of Hawaiian and Texan food leaves out the best of both. Owner was in the shop and was extremely rude to his employees

I have eaten here twice (Pick up to go) and while the food is ok the place is filthy. Last time I went in both the employees were asleep in a back booth. I know it's difficult to find good employees these days and I'm sure the pay isn't much but this place needs to step up it's game. 90% of the reviews I leave are positive and its rare I leave a negative review.

Overall it was ok. I got a 2 meat plate with chicken katsu, kalua pork, bacon fried rice, and tots. With a drink I paid about $20. Got a pretty decent amount of food so I would say it's comparably priced to most places I've been in the area. The restaurant itself seemed like a bit of a dump. Clean, but just seemed poorly maintained with cheap decor. The staff was very friendly and as I was the only one there I didn't wait that long for food. I mean, they do need to cook the food! The pork and rice were really delicious. The tots were tots, nothing special but plain tots rarely are! The katsu was a disappointment. Just because I love chicken katsu. This was my main reason for coming and the least delicious thing I got. It wasn't bad, it was just possibly a little overcooked.

Was having a rough day yesterday and plus the snow. So I decided to stop into Hangry Ohana and get some poke. The spicy poke bowl was great, lots of different flavors and overall had a good spice to it!

I really like Hawaiian food and there are only two I know of; L&L Hawaiian BBQ and Hangry Ohana. L&L is good years ago, but as of late, I'm finding things are over-cooked and tend to be greasy.I started going to their Parker location and really enjoyed it. It was one of my "go to" comfort food places. I recently moved to North Colorado Springs, and was surprised to see Hangry Ohana had a location in Monument!I went there about a month and a half ago and it was disappointing. Service was super slow, they screwed up not only my order but other people's as well. The kitchen didn't seem to know how to handle orders as it seemed everything was coming serially and the intervals were long and even telling me the person in the back was basically cooking one order at a time. The food didn't have the same flavor or quality as the Parker LocationI was disappointed and figured, if I wanted my Hangry Ohana, I'd have to go to Parker.Well today (12/02/2021) I took a chance at the Monument location. To my surprise, they had a new staff who had transferred from the Parker location! Zach was awesome! Not only was he on top of it and super friendly, he cooked fast. I was barely had a chance to look at my phone and the food was out.Best of all the Quality was excellent. The marinades were tasty (Kalbi short ribs and BBQ Chicken) but the Mac salad was really good. You could taste the spices and didn't have too much mayo. Overall it was excellent. I will be back to this location thanks to Zach!Regarding Hangry Ohana itself; It's Hawaiian comfort food. It's not some New Age Hawaiian Fusion place. Okay one dish is but it works! That would be the Kalua Pig/Pork. Rather than purely slow cooked, the pork is smoked using Hawaiian spices. With the cabbage it's really delicious. The Kalbi short ribs are tasty as is the Tonkatsu and Teri Beef and BBQ Chicken. The Bacon Fried is pretty tasty too! But I prefer plain ol' white rice.If you are looking for some tasty Hawaiian food, Hangry Ohana is a great choice!

I went from hangry ohana to angry ohana?. Bro this place is obviously not ran by an islander or Hawaiian. The food were old. They taste like a day old food, like those left over bbq from yesterday’s party typa food. ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️

I got the Spicy Poke bowl with rice 'to go'. Food came out fast, and the poke was awesome. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. There are dishes that everyone in my family would enjoy! The portions are huge!Update: I went back a second time and placed a to-go order. Despite hardly anyone in the restaurant, I waited 23 minutes for my food. There was another customer who had ordered online in advance, and his order wasn't ready. He waited nearly as long as I did, even though he pre-ordered. So head's up--take out orders can be quite a wait!

Reading the comments I was very skeptical, I love the chicken katsu at L&L and thier pasta salad is my favorite. But, I tried the chicken katsu here and it was delicious. The pasta salad was good but not L&L but that’s okay because it was still good. I will definitely eat here again when I’m in town.

As someone who spent 4 years in Hawaii, this is a wonderful taste of the islands... with a twist. The shop is clean, crisp and well decorated. Staff was friendly, prompt and attentive. The food is outstanding. All of the staples were fantastic. The chicken katsu is as good as you will find anywhere. The teriyaki chicken and beef were quickly devoured by our crew. The kahlua chicken was tasty, moist and well prepared. And make sure you top it off with a dole whip. :)This is as close to Hawaiian-kine without being in the islands as you can get in Colorado.

Been wanting to try for some time. I would have returned and requested a refund if it was not such a long drive for me. This is coming from the most NON picky person you will ever find, the food was not edible. If I wanted a bowl of raw salt, I would have ordered a bowl of raw salt. Almost like it was intentional. My hard earned money went straight into the trash as I cooked my own meal.

I've paid more for worse food for sure. It was all okay, nothing that jumped out as particularly good. This would be a great place for a cheap lunch if it was half the price but 20 bucks a plate for 3 or 4 pieces of 3 kinds of meat (that kinda all tastes the same) and some frozen macaroni salad or rice is just too much.Wanted to love it but likely won't be back. Staff was super nice though.

To put this in perspective, things have got to be pretty bad for me to write a 1 star review. This is the first 1 star review I've ever written in my life. Expect to pay around 17 dollars for the average meal. Expect a super small serving and expect to leave hungry (For reference, I'm a 90lb girl and even I was hungry after eating the whole meal). Even if you are the only person in the whole restaurant, expect to wait a long time. Expect really dry rice and be prepared to wash it down with a flat fountain drink. And expect average food. The food was not gross but it wasn't good either. It certainly wasn't worthy of 17 dollars. Considering the food itself and the serving size, I'd a maximum of 8.50 for that meal. I am a big supporter of local businesses but do yourself a favor and walk the extra 10 feet to Pho Brothers II or drive half a mile down the road to Arlene's Beans.

I can think of better things to spend $75 on for dinner. We ordered our food online and when we arrived it was never received by their in store order app but was charged to my credit card. She put the order in and about 15 minutes later the food was ready to go. (BTW there were two others before me who had the same happen to them)I get it home (about a 5 minute drive): The tots were soggy and oily... flavorless. We got an extra order of tots for some reason - they looked like a wad of tots in a box. sad. fallen apart. The BBQ chicken may not have been fully cooked - flavorful but questionable. Katsu lacked flavor and was also questionable on cook level. Brisket was OK for the couple bites I was able to eat before getting a wad of fat. Rice was hard. I would not recommend, at all. Honestly, my stomach hurts ....
