This place has some of the worse chips and salsa I've ever tasted not sure how you can have Mexican food and mess up chips and salsa so bad.
The food was very bland maybe I'm just not use to the style of Mexican food but overall horrible and expensive

A friend took me here for lunch as a first time visitor. In an older building just off of I-25, so very convenient for access. My friend suggested the salsa sampler to start and I was very impressed. Multiple styles of salsa and the chips were more like tortilla style -thicker and those flimsy chips at other places. Salsas had a great flavor and interesting types. For the main course, I chose the pork burrito and he had the poblano pepper special. My burrito was excellent, side salad included and the red sauce added the perfect touch. The Poblano sandwich that my friend had was a returning special, so he was super excited to eat it again- he is a multi-returning customer!
Decor was a little dated, but that did not take away from the quality of the food. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Will return again on my next trip through Monument.

Disappointing Experience with Awful Service and Food
I'm incredibly disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. While I was looking forward to a good meal, the experience was ruined from the moment I walked in. The staff was not only rude but also made several overtly racist and inappropriate comments. It was shocking and completely unacceptable. I've never felt so uncomfortable and disrespected in a dining establishment before.
To make matters worse, the food was just as terrible as the service. My enchiladas were dry, the rice was undercooked, and the beans were bland. The meal tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, and it was clear that no care or pride went into preparing it. The high prices are a joke considering the low quality of both the food and the service.
I will never be returning and will be advising my friends and family to stay far away. This place needs a serious lesson in both customer service and basic human decency.

The food was mediocre and the prices were pretty high for just lunch. I had been here years ago and remember it being much better.

I tried to be fair on this one. We have eatten here several times and while its always decent, the flavors are just off for me. All I taste is lime whenever I eat here. I don't taste cumin or chili powder.
It's just an overall odd flavor for mexican dishes, but clearly I'm alone on an island on this one.

I've spent a lot of time over decades eating a wide range of Mexican and sort of Mexican food and rarely had anything as good as our meal today at Jarrito Loco. Everything was laden with fresh ingedients--margarita, salad, burrito. Simply outstanding. Definitely worth the trip or stop. Salsas were remarkable, too. Wow.

Literally the best Mexican food I've ever had, super friendly service, and reasonable prices. Especially for how fresh everything is. I live in the springs and its well worth the drive to go here. Absolutely amazing

Hands down, the friendliest place I've ever eaten, with a wonderful staff who make us feel like regulars. Oh, and the food is great, too. They have an Alaskan Cod fish taco special on Wednesday and Friday, so we will always go on one of those days, because my wife loves those tacos. I appreciate Jarritos because most of their menu items are gluten free, which is important for me, and not a thing I can always find. Oh, and randomly enough, their coffee is also good.

The visit started out well, as the waiter greeted us promptly and was friendly. It took quite a while to get our food, and it was mediocre. They are confident in their food quality and flavor, as no sauces or seasonings are on the table. No staff checked on us to offer a refill, and we were there for over an hour. We will not be returning.
Restaurant was clean, so that's a plus.
