Always wonderful. The shrimp pepper appetizer is always amazing and tonight I tried the new tuxedo cake... wow! It's so good. I'm very happy we have this place in town.

My wife and I went for a New Year's Eve dinner. The restaurant has a separate wine bar with a nice menu of wines and Tapas. We had a short wait and then went upstairs to be seated. Our waiter, Joshua, was excellent and provided the right amount of attention. My wife had the pasta, and I had the prime rib. The food was decent, but the prime rib portion for $48 was small and overly fatty.
The dessert was great, but then came the big disappointment. We had several gift cards totaling $100. Our waiter returned and told us they could not be honored because they were from the previous owner. What difference should that make for the customer? We were told the previous owner was "naughty" and emphatically could not use the gift cards that clearly stated "no expiration."
I just wanted to inform people to check with the restaurant regarding gift cards before going.

We have been to Bistro on 2nd about 4 times now. We are always impressed - great service, great food. We love their cocktails and appetizers - they are creative, well-balanced, and always delicious! The entrees are excellent as is dessert. We especially love the elk!
The one time there was any problem, the staff immediately corrected the problem with zero fuss. Love having an elegant but not pretentious place up here in Monument to have a nice dinner out that doesn't just make stereotypical dishes.

My wife and my parents do a nice dinner for Christmas every year, and we ended up at Bistro on 2nd this year by the recommendation of my parents. Everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing. Every bite of food was as amazing as the last, and everything was so perfectly seasoned. The building used to be a residence, so it has a small but very comfortable feel to it. Kevin was our server, and he was attentive, personable, well-informed about the menu, and he made our experience extremely enjoyable. We definitely plan on going back.

My wife and I enjoyed a 25th anniversary dinner here. WOW, just WOW! We've eaten at most the great restaurants in the Springs area, this place is as good, if not better. The food was amazing, the portions were huge and the service is top notch. We also enjoyed the ambiance, they have places to sit outside with fire pits. We will definitely be visiting The Bistro on 2nd many more times.

Absolutely wonderful experience, food, and service. Robbie was awesome, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great! We left feeling sad we hadn't been before but excited to come back and try more items and enjoy fresh seasonal menu changes! The stuffed pork was to die for, the filet was perfect, and man-o-man the house made desserts were perfect!!
Thank you guys so much and we can't wait to come back ;) keep up the great work, Monument needs you!!!

We came here on a Friday with a party of 6. The service was definitely slower than expected taking almost 90 minutes to get our main courses. That would be great if the food didn't taste way too salty from the shrimp in the pasta was so salty as to be inedible. We didn't make a fuss because of the aged parents wanting to be done. I will give them a try again, but I'll definitely call it out if it is as salty next to

The Bistro on 2nd is such a delightful place for dinner and drinks. The view is incredible and the food is the best we’ve had in the Colorado Springs. We will be coming here more often for special occasions.

A lovely night out in an elegant but informal setting. The menu is sneakily creative, and the quality and plating of the elk and hangar steak mains we ordered were *phenomenal*. Probably the best restaurant in a very wide radius

Nice and quaint. However, the food was too salty and it shows that's what the chef highlights. I think other seasonings need to be introduced. Nice staff here
