Hong's Garden Chinese Restaurant

I ordered Chicken Lo Mein and the food was good. Nothing too fancy though. But the restaurant smelled horrible when I picked up my order and service could’ve been friendlier. Overall It’s decent but I’d look elsewhere for Chinese food.

This place is the absolute worst food as well as service and experience I've ever dealt with.
My husband is extremely allergic to mushrooms and so of course I ordered our food NO MUSHROOMS...there were mushrooms. We did not eat any of the food at all and when I tried to go back and get it fixed I was treated beyond poorly,yelled at, argued with and talked to as if I'm stupid. When I said that's no way to treat a customer I was told by the kid working the register that "He's just like that" talking about the way the manager treated me. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE FOR MULTIPLE REASONS.

Wife could not eat hers it was so bad. They brought a dish that I did not order then argued with me saying I did order it. Never checked on us or offered refills until we left. Don’t waste your time or taste buds. Just like everyone else aid they argue with each other.

My family and I came in for lunch, the waiter was pissed that I ordered Thai tea and told me “it’s going to take a long time.” And as he began to walk away, we asked if we could order some appetizers before he disappeared again. This disrespectful kid does a loud grunt and keeps walking to the back so we left. Sorry we tried to give you guys business. Never again.

Food is terrible, it tastes awful I couldn’t even swallow the beef because of the texture of it. It was like chewing fat. Doesn’t taste fresh, they have an employee sleeping on a bed behind the bar. Very unprofessional and staff is very rude. Never going back ever again!

Please change out your fyer oil. Either it's rancid or your chicken is not fresh. I can taste it. Also, please remove your bed and stop sleeping in the bar area. Are you kidding me with that?! On that note, you're staff is rude and very inattentive.

People were really slow and the food was just okay but it is one of the only Chinese restaurants in New Castle. So I wouldn't be mad if I didn't go but would probably go again if nothing else better was open.

If you get takeout, you cannot get the lunch that should be with the soup special so you're not even getting the whole meal you pay for. The restaurant looks dirty, the service was terrible and the food was NOT good.First and last time I'll ever go here!

Food is mediocre. Priced high for the quality.I always pick up, never eat in. Not inviting to eat in. Their kids are their staff and I feel bad because they always seem not interested in taking care of customers.Food is nowhere near the quality of the north east states Chinese. We are definitely settling for it when we choose to eat here.We now just get the Mangolian Beef (taste more like Schezuan Beef) and the Sweet & Sour Chicken (kinda can't ruin it) and that kinda satisfies our Chinese cravings.

The food was good and hot , BUT the atmosphere was terrible, the service was terrible . The employees were yelling across the room. There's no music. We will never dine in again , may consider take out. So so disappointed as there are not many restaurants in New Castle to dine out.
