Perfect stop off for brunch on our trip down the I-70! Delicious and fresh tasting food with prompt and friendly service. A note for any vegetarians - the huevos rancheros did contain meat (this is usually a vegetarian dish and it didn’t list meat as an ingredient on the menu) but once I mentioned this to the owner he was very understanding and they instantly prepared me a new meat-free version which was delicious. Also an excellent selection of hot teas which not everywhere...
This is pretty much your average, small town breakfast place. The food is decent and service is okay. I enjoy it well enough that I'll return again, but it's nothing to write home about.In particular, the pancakes are not fluffy, more rubbery, and my latte was more of a cappucino with lots of milk and foam. I also noticed I was charged more than the menu prices. Not much more but worth mentioning; the latte, for example, is listed as $5.75, but I was charged $5.95.
