I got chicken tenders and fries and my plate looked like it had been a left over plate from someone else that had been sitting under the lamp for awhile. And tossed on the plate. I dont car for presentation so much but this was pretty bad.

The waitress was very nice and attentive though!

Decent place to order food but don’t ever work there

Server never asked me if I wanted to refresh my drink and they ran out of napkins which my Server never brought me. I had to ask another server for it and she gave me ones they use in the bathroom.

I would love to give you 5 starts because I feel coming to your stores is an adventure! I can't never leave without buying some unique merchandise. And your panckakes are delicious! But, you should go back to your FRESH SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE!

I usually enjoy their food and love that they have trout on the menu. They were great about leaving the breading off since I no longer can eat wheat, however, we hit on a bad day for our 5yr+ (stars) waitress. The trout is also tiny now.

If your a traveler and need to rest this place is actually peaceful. It's a sketchy area but nobody bothers you. Slept here twice while traveling and had no issues at all

If I could give a zero i would my moms food was not hot and my brother said his potato was disgusting the only good part is the candy and the shop and the triangle game on the table never returning.

Trash corporation that absolutely does not care about your experience. Go spend your money somewhere else..

Update 07/29/2025: Cracker Barrel did send me a gc for a free entree as promised. I just finished the meal and this visit was way better than the original visit. Aleena was my server and she was a delight. Drink refills appeared without asking, food delivery was quick and accurate. She even checked on me several times. I noticed the manager circulating and checking in with guests including me. The only gripe is the dumplings are still very salty but were edible this time. The manager indicated they are aware the current recipe is being perceived by guests as too salty. The rest of the food was very good. So do come in and eat - and ask to be seated in Aleena’s area!

Original posting: During covid, we had several visits that were just horrible at different Cracker Barrel’s and said we’d never go back. Today, I’m staying at a hotel across the street from this specific Cracker Barrel for my new job which will bring me here weekly for the next several months. I thought what the heck I’ll give it a try.

First the good. Order was accurate. Food portions were huge!

Now the not so good. Service was horrible. The server would just disappear which was odd as they were not busy at all. I had to get up and go into the kitchen to get napkins and pepper sauce. Twice I had to get another server to get drink refills. Food wise the chicken and dumplings, normally my favorite, were so salty as to be inedible - that says a lot too as I like my food salty.

I know Cracker Barrel is overhauling their locations with new menu options and new decor. But until they resolve the crappy service issues they will keep losing market share.

If my visit is indicative of their normal performance, you’d be best to skip this one.

Update: 07/08/2025 - Cracker Barrel did contact me and has provided me a gift certificate to use to try them again. I will try to do that this week and will update this review accordingly.
