Absolutely delicious sushi rolls that are so fresh and done beautifully. We really enjoyed our meal and the staff is so kind! Plus, they were very busy with take out orders, which I take as another good sign of taste and quality!

I have been before but it was years ago and I remember the experience and food to be good.

Today I visited and had a few pieces of sashimi and the fish did not taste fresh. I actually felt sick to my stomach when I tasted a bite of hamachi. Miso and the California roll were tasty. I should have never trusted the sashimi and it was a shame.

Service was just fine but overall the place is just kinda of boring.

This is a great place to eat! A lot of people get food to-go and I enjoy eating in. The food is delicious. Don't let the expansive sushi menu fool you, the ramen is also great!

After having to leave a different sushi restaurant due to absurd wait times (drove 35+ minutes, wait time of 2.5 hours), my partner and I turned to Okinawa Sushi to fulfill our sushi craving and justify the long drive.

We were seated relatively quickly due to the minimal amount of customers. Though, when it came to the waiter retrieving our order, it took an long time even upon waving him down and receiving acknowledgement. He kept standing at the counter across from us, essentially doing everything but attending customers.

The food took even longer to come out and it was a rough wait (35 minutes), everything coming out at once instead of what plates were ready first. I had a first hand view of seeing the prepared sushi plates sit on a table for a long period of time before we were served.

Overall, the food was alright but not the best. The price was too expensive for the quality we received. We have definitely been to sushi restaurants that provide better service and higher quality food with a less expensive price.

I loved everything about this place, except for the white sauce is more of a tan color and the flavor wasn’t quite right in my opinion

Excellent sushi! Love the vast options. Had their yummy roll and yellow tail sashimi, along with their banana tempura for dessert. 10/10

Ok so I came in here after a particularly long and rough day, and have lived down the street from this place but never tried it until last night. I’m not sure why, but I was mentally prepared for this place to suck. Oh me oh my, ever the optimist haha. The signs on the building are faded and starting to chip. The restaurant is small and older, you can tell they’ve done a few updates but they’re not modern by any means. There wasn’t a wait. The server was a grouchy older guy, but that’s fine, he probably has had “a day” as well. Guys, I was blown away by this little sushi joint. We sit down and immediately realize that this place is kind of expensive. We opt for the sushi combo meal with a salad or soup. When my starter salad arrives, I was disappointed that it was basically just an iceberg bowl, some shaved carrots and two slices of cucumber with dressing on the side. I muse to myself that wow, kinda boring, this salad could use more umph. Then I pour the dressing on and take a bite. Guys. The salad dressing was outstanding. Think of the freshest, perfectly balanced gingery garlicy dressing. Honestly the simplicity of this little salad speaks for itself. It doesn’t need sprouts or radish. It was a perfect balance of texture and flavor. Any more “umph” and it would have distracted from the dressing. Color my grouchy little butt impressed. Then our entrees arrive. The sashimi pieces I ordered were MASSIVE. For a big mouth like me, each piece was easily a two-biter. They were also generous with the wasabi and ginger as well. My
Plate also came with a California roll which, while isn’t my favorite, were salty and yummy and quite generous. Each slice of fish was beautifully plated and so fresh and delicious. The prices they charge are worth it because they are enormous! My boyfriend substituted the roll on his plate for one called the “spider man roll.” I figured it would be kind of basic, I’m not a fan of spider rolls because they tend to be pretty bland. His spider man roll came out and oh my ever loving lord, it was a masterpiece. It’s wrapped in this green rice papery wrap thing that’s kind of chewy and perfectly offsets the crunch of the crab. It’s covered in a blend of umami sauce and spicy mayo. I now want to try every roll this place has. In all my years of being an amateur sushi critic, this is the very first time a sushi roll had me slapping the table and laughing with how yummy it was. Okinawa Sushi is truly an understated local gem, you guys. The craftsmanship behind each bite begs to be in some swanky, stuck-up, downtown restaurant where a roll costs $58 and arrives smoking from dry ice. But instead it’s right in our neighborhood. It’s approachable and, given the quality, quite affordable. My friends, if you’ve had your heart broken by sushi restaurants before in Colorado, you need to try this place. Don’t be afraid to order the expensive rolls, because next time I absolutely will. It’s 1000% worth the risk.
