Such a gem of a bakery! There is a delicious variety of baked goods, pastries, and breads. I love that they source their grains and mill their flour. The staff is also very warm and welcoming.

Mountain Oven sells an excellent selection of delicous pastries and breads. Best challah bread on the planet. I appreciate that their bread isn't heavy on my stomach. Their pastries are creative, incorporating locally sourced ingredients -- I always enjoy the seasonal specials. Their bread is for sale at the local grocery store as well.

You don't always want everyone to know about your best kept little secrets but this is one of them. I've had the bread and I've been reborn. This is a very special bakery and the bread is very special and I can't wait to make a trip to Paonia and to get my fill again. This is one of those little treasures nestled into Colorado. The bread is special and everything about it, I love. I purchased the GF scones too for my neighbor and she said 'there were the best she's ever had'. Thank you for all the love you put into your product. It tastes that way.

Stumbled on this bakery when passing through town. wonderful bakery..
Gorgeous food items! Unfortunately the taste didn’t reflect the visually appealing food. The almond cherry danish was extremely dry and tasteless. Additionally, I spent $38 (?) on a peach pie and after 1 slice threw it out. To be clear, I ate the slice, but wasn’t going to waste anymore calories on another. Again, dry and relatively tasteless. The dough appears to be a wheat flavor, which is not what I’m looking for in a pastry.

The best bread ever!

Yummy pastries and bread. My favorite is honey macadamia cinnamon roll. Also occasionally have burritos. Everyone is really friendly. Only open Friday mornings 8-11am but other times can pick up pastries and bread on the honor system inside. They take credit cards for an additional charge.
