I haven’t been here since I was a little kid over 30 years ago but was visiting the area and excited to see it was open again. I was SUPER impressed, probably the best meal I’ve had in years. AMAZING food (the chicken, mashed potatoes, and biscuits were awesome), very friendly service, comfy atmosphere, real home-cooked feel, the menu isn’t extensive but everything is/looks great, A+ all around. Don’t skip this place!
i ordered a sour cream and raisin pie. i haven’t had that since around 1986 or so. i’m so happy she was willing to make it to begin with but for it to be as amazing as when my mom used to bring them home way back when in iowa? i’m blown away! thank you for the step back in time! and, yes, i brought a spoon from home and ate some in the parking lot before heading home!
We drove by on our little road trip on Mother's Day and decided to give it a try bc the outside looked too cute!Since it was Mother's Day, the only option was buffet. I truly can't eat $22 worth of food anywhere but the options were fairly disappointing. Lotta carbs. The fish sticks were still frozen on the first go around but they fixed it. The best options were the mashed potatoes and gravy, the turkey and the roast beef.The inside decor is as cute as the outside!...
