People are only complaining because they either ordered their food online expecting it to be fresh, or they are just Karens who whine about every minor inconvenience. The food and service is great. More of a late night hangout spot. Always nostalgic.

I've been here a couple times. Obviously its fast food. They always give me what I want and they aren't rude. If you are rude to the people making your food....you are going to be treated the same way. We are humans, we have great days and we have meh days. These aren't machines they are people. Leaving bad reviews for an app or a pick up order is your fault. Good job steak and shake 👌. I'll go again and order through the drive thru and provide pictures and a full experience review unbiased.

Got a drive through order, there was literally a pincher bug inside of the bag crawling around, I’m scared of what else is running around in their kitchen.

It's 7:57 at night and this store seems like it's closed. There's no one to help you. What a terrible service, really. And to top it off, they're very slow in delivering your order. I would never come back here again. I don't recommend it to anyone.

I ordered an ORIGINAL Double Steakburger with cheese combo $10.49. I also ordered a side cup of chili $2.49. When my order came, it had no fries. I asked why it had no fries and the manager said it was because I replaced it with chili. They refused to give me fries that I paid for! I paid for a combo and added a side so they took away my fries. I wonder if I had added a shake if they would have taken away my burger and served me a shake and chili. I WILL NOT EAT HERE AGAIN !

Sheridan, CO location drive thru: I ordered a simple Chocolate Shake. It still had chunks of white unblended ice cream(?) in it & Minimal taste. For $8. Hardly any taste to a chocolate shake!
Decent food and friendly staff but as others recently reported, this place is in desperate need of a major cleaning - from the booths to the soda dispensing machine to the large silver ring light fixture, dust and grime everywhere.

I ordered on the app and immediately went to the drive thru with nobody in line. App said my order would be ready in 5-10 minutes. Told staffer on intercom, “Hi, you should have a mobile order for Walter?”
Was told by rather rude person over intercom in drive thru that mobile orders have to be picked up inside. What’s the point of a mobile order that has to be picked up inside? The whole point of mobile app orders is supposed to increase convenience.
So i park and go inside having never been to a Steak n Shake before. No cashiers, just large screens to order from. People in kitchen looked pretty miserable and unapproachable, so asking a question like “Do I tell you I have a mobile order or am I supposed to use intuition to figure out how your process works?” does not seem welcome. So I sit and watch while a couple customers come in, enter their orders, and when ready a staffer says “Shake for Jason”. Customer is handed his order across the front counter nowhere near the “Pick Up Here” sign. So I sit and wait for a small fries and kid’s shake and for them to say, “Order for Walter”.
A few more minutes go by and as both of those customers get their orders I figure I’d better see if there’s a mobile order shelf somewhere. Around one corner is the drink fountain and caddy where condiments are supposed to be (no ketchup which irritates the guy ahead of me). I go around the other corner of the front counter and there is a shelf labeled “Delivery and Online Pick-Up” which is NOT facing the front door and not visible from the front counter. But… there’s my tiny $6 shake (melted) and bag of cold, oversalted spindly bland fries.
I have left a LOT of positive reviews for places in the past, but not this time.
This place sucks!
