After 20 min and multiple people that ordered after me got their food I had to go to the counter and ask where my food was. They hadn't even started it. I had to ask for money back and wait ten minutes for that even. Restaurant was very dirty. I will not be coming back UPDATE: THEY NEVER PROCESSED MY REFUND! NEVER GOT MY MONET BACK, STAY AWAY!!

I haven't been to a steak n shake since I've lived in the springs and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement, you first walk in and no one greets you or takes your order you have to do it yourself then you have to wait 30-40 minutes to even get your food because there is only 3 people actually working and they have people in drive-thru to take care of as well. The manager I saw was only making shakes and not jumping in to help the other employees when he had no other orders. The lack of communication between the employees makes it very difficult to get a correct order or lack of order. I got a bacon cheeseburger combo with cheese fries and my husband got a garlic burger I also ordered a side of bbq sauce, never got the bbq sauce, my husband couldn't eat his burger because it was soaked in garlic and my cheese fries had very little cheese. We were thinking about getting a shake but after seeing the bottle flavors for the shakes and a bottle saying "do not throw away" and they were not clean we decided not to. We will be sticking with freddy's from now on

This place is a shame now...it used to be a wonderful place to dine and share some laughs... now its depressing to even just walk in to the establishment. Everything is so plain the menu became simple and they no longer have what i wanted to eat on the menu. Kiosk to order are so disconnecting from the customer and if you want to wait forever to get food come here... they do the best they can but its not enough. Bottom line is its way to expensive to eat in this depressing place to wait forever and sit at a bunch of off balanced tables and torn seats. Don't waste your time here try Freddie's steak burgers where they still have people working there and don't have to order on a kiosk and they are very fast, im greatful that they are keeping the establishment the way it was originally intended to be.

One word: GROSS. It pains me to write this as a lifelong lover of Steak n Shake especially since this is the only one in metro Denver, but this particular location is truly disgusting. Believe all the other 1 star reviews and ignore any craving you have for Steak n Shake. It looks like they have not wiped down any surface neither the tables, chairs nor the floors in years. We immediately regretted ordering food after we then went to look for a place to sit and saw our options. Honestly we even considered just leaving without our food as it grossed us out thinking what the kitchen probably looks like if they can’t even keep the public areas from being that atrocious. The burgers were the usual greasy burgers but the fries were lukewarm and seemed like they had been sitting out all day. My husband never ever leaves a potato behind and he barely touched his fries. Just save yourself the disgust and disappointment and don’t go here.

The restaurant is missing any kind of service or cleanliness.I wish I didn't come here, honestly. Being here just made me sad.

Had a terrible experience today, Tommy the “manager” charged me for a bacon cheese burger after I asked for a plain hamburger no cheese, I called after leaving and finding out the order was made incorrectly, and I was passed to three different people and then told I was incorrect, saying that I did order cheese instead of offering to fix their mistake. Im allergic to dairy and have been my whole life, I think I know what I ordered. Overcharged and then when getting a new burger, it was practically raw. Disgusting. The team there today was horrible. Hire new staff.
