Really loved this place. Dwane was amazing and I would strongly recommend this place to everyone with an open mind. Best in the area... And I just spent a hour or so.

Stayed at the Pad one night recently and found it to be a pleasant surprise. I booked a tiny room with a private shower (I don't do bunk rooms). The space was small, clean, and perfect for my needs. The common areas are very comfortable--plenty of nooks and spaces to set up a computer if your vacations still need to get paid for. The bar is great. Won't hesitate to stay here again the next time I'm in Silverthorne.

It's a hotel/hostel bar. Seems like an interesting place to meet people, but the night I went wasn't crowded. The old fashioned made with rum is okay. Little bit too bitter and could use some other ingredients to balance it.

Rude staff and then they wonder why they are going bankrupt. I've literally given these people so much business and they treat me like crap only because they know that I've been homeless in the past so every time I walk in they treat me like a dog. They say I make a lot of noise in my room when there's absolutely nobody in here there's nothing going on it's 60° in here so I'm freezing I leave the goddamn door open so it can heat up in here and they say I'm making too much noise it's a hostile good God if you want privacy get a God damn room in a hotel. Wow I just want my money back so I can get the f*** out of here.

I'm leaving this review so people understand what they are booking, the pad has very choice pictures and show rooms that are not what you'll get. The room we walked into measured roughly 10 feet by 10 feet. There was also a large brown stain on the center of the bed. THIS IS A HOSTEL NOT EVEN CLOSE TO A HOTEL. Also, after we decided to leave and lose our $120 we immediately ran into another couple with their young children who had the same exact situation and the hotel would not refund them as well. I feel the lack of honest photos is intentional so people will book their rooms but is also very dishonest.

Best martini in a long time. Great local collaboration on local liquor!

I have stayed at a handful of hostels, but none in the US. This hostel/hotel is amazing! Super clean and very nice with a great location right in Silverthorne for cheaper than a hotel. They have a full kitchen that is open to use for anyone, a hot tub on the top floor, A bar in the lobby, a large turf back yard with chairs, swings, and fire pits. There is a nice walking path nearby with a bridge crossing the stream. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.

I needed a place to rest my head to break up a long drive from Denver into the mountains. The Pad was very accommodating despite my late-night check in time. All of the staff who I interacted with was very friendly. The space felt like a fancy hotel without the fancy prices. Bathrooms were clean and bedding was already made...something that is honestly not that common for hostels. I wish I were there longer to enjoy the rest of the facilities!

We weren't quite sure what to expect when we booked this place considering it's a "hostel" and hotel in one. After booking a micro room, I realized it had a Twin XL which wouldn't work for my tall husband and myself, so we upgraded to the private room with a queen - this ended up being a full mattress sitting on a queen frame, but we made it work. The front desk was extremely friendly (the humans AND the canines) and super helpful in accommodating our requests for extra pillows. We checked in early and set out to explore, coming back to a bed full of those extra pillows. Our room was very clean - you could tell they had just cleaned it and the smell was slightly overpowering. We wish the windows were able to open, but after leaving the door open with a fan, it seemed to air out pretty well. The bathroom was WAY larger than some of the pictures we saw, but there are plenty of common bathrooms down the hall if needed that were also spotless. The bar was our favorite part, and our bartender Jess made our experience what it was. When we got rained inside, we spent the afternoons and evenings playing cards at the bar, enjoyed trivia on Wednesday night, and had a blast chatting with Jess every evening. They have a wide variety of taps (wish there were more cider options, but there was something for everyone still) and mixed drinks as well. The location is directly next to the river and with a beautiful view of the mountains. We're counting down until next year when we can go back for an even longer vacation! LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

Great place to gather and celebrate any occasion except ... why is it when you order a beer they say it's $6.50. But when you pay cash (which doesn't have a fee like credit cards) they give you change for $7? That's a crock - If a beer is $6.50 give the customer change for that! Other happy hours in Summit are cheaper but we tried to support this one. Yet still felt a bit scammed.
