We’ve had the best experience with heather doing our elopement cake. We were traveling from Florida to Breckenridge and there were few bakeries nearby, one that wasn’t even taking custom orders and one that was closed for a whole month. I was kinda loosing hope about finding someone! Heather got back to me so quickly and was very accommodating with how far we were. I’m not much of a cake person but I would kill for a good cheesecake. I asked about a different idea, a churro cheesecake and sent some inspo and we talked about things that I wanted and she said she was down to try it out. she absolutely made our dreams come true. We got a mile high cheesecake with strawberries and it was MASSIVE But it was incredible. Very glad we had gone with marketplace bakery.
Upon pick up, the bakery was this half open concept and it just seems like a nice place to grab a quick bite to eat. We tried the brisket sandwich which smelled amazing and a chef salad that was also pretty big.

Fabulous cakes! I used to be a professional baker in Denver. Heather made us two birthday cakes, one red velvet cake and one ice cream cake. I can honestly say that the red velvet was the best I've ever had. Even people in our group who don't normally like red velvet cake were saying how delicious it was! The ice cream cake was fantastic too. I could tell that top notch ingredients were used for both cakes.
This is a gem of a bakery! It's hard to find baking of this quality.

Our wedding cake was more amazing than we could’ve imagined. Heather used my inspiration photos and created the most beautiful cake. Funfetti with strawberry filling?!? What more could you ask for? Heather was so kind when we were unsure if we’d be able to make it out due to a hurricane in our hometown, but it ended up working out perfectly. We are so glad we found Heather for our special day.

Heather was absolutely phenomenal! She was responsive and accommodating. The wedding cake was: chocolate cake, with bavarian cream filling and vanilla buttercream icing. Not only did it look amazing but it tasted great as well! Highly recommend for all of your cake needs!

My wife and I were so pleased with our wedding cake. We truly enjoyed it and our guests on our wedding day. It was so beautiful that I almost didn’t want to eat but admire its beauty. Thank you for making sure we deliver the flowers in the nick of time, for the delivery services, and for creating this masterpiece. I highly recommend her services and head to her shop. It’s such a cute location that I look forward to visiting next time we visit.

Heather, you truly have found your craft in making wedding cakes for a living. Not only did you make a beautiful cake but a delicious one too! It was more than a cake to me. Heather did such a wonderful job on our wedding cake! We contacted her just two months before our wedding and she was so sweet and awesome to work with. Her prices are super reasonable, she delivered straight to our venue with plenty of time before the reception, and the design was exactly what we had asked for and more. We got SO many comments on how beautiful it was. Plus it was absolutely delicious! Would recommend to anyone wanting a wedding cake :)

No wait for your breakfast burrito! They are made fresh and taste great! My husband’s favorite is the brisket burrito and I get the vegetarian or vegan burrito. Make sure to stop by! Also great bakery selection!!

Planning a long distance wedding in Silverthorn from Michigan was not an easy task. Heather and Colorado Marketplace & Bakery were recommended to us. And I’m so glad. Heather and I were able to communicate and come up with a plan for the wedding cakes. They were on time, beautiful and delicious. Heather made the process smooth and easy.

Where do I begin?

I worked with Heather on a variety of requests over the course of our wedding weekend. We needed catering for about 50 people for our rehearsal dinner/open house, a chip and dip table, cake and cupcakes for our wedding day, as well as breakfast for the goodbye breakfast. All of these requests included several different allergy alerts and dietary restrictions.

The open house food included their delicious smoked brisket with a couple of sides and a vegan/gf lasagna. You didn’t have to be df/gf to enjoy the lasagna - it was outstanding! They even provided serving dishes and utensils for us to borrow.

For the wedding, we had authentic Mexican food provided by a different caterer for our main course but wanted to do a more tex mex chip and dip table in addition to the tacos. Heather made delicious chunky salsa, guacamole and queso for this request. I kept hearing about how yummy the guacamole was!

My cake was the gf carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and we also provided some vegan/gf cupcakes for folks with dietary restrictions. Both were delicious but the carrot cake is to die for!

Finally, we wanted to offer an easy goodbye breakfast option for our out of town guests. I gave guests different breakfast burrito options when they rsvp’d and handed the order off to Heather for that morning after. Our guests were able to come to the bakery, pick up their burritos and drip coffee, and enjoy in Blue Bird Market. This was a super cost effective way to do a morning after-wedding breakfast. Not to mention, the burritos were tasty! Once again we were able to accommodate dietary restrictions for this as well.

Start to finish, I can’t recommend Heather and CO Marketplace & Bakery enough for your next special event! Heather is a great communicator and you can tell she really cares.

It was a couple weeks before my daughters destination wedding and I luckily found this bakery. Heather was absolutely amazing with prompt service and making exactly what we wanted. Everyone just loved the great taste of the cake and design. Definitely would recommend if in the area!
