I feel this place is overpriced for what you get - the food isn't bad, just OK and expensive. The portions are pretty big though!

Very solid breakfast burrito, love the variety of meats in it! Prompt food, yummy breakfast potatoes, very friendly and nice staff. Would recommend!

Only thing that I didn’t love is green chile sauce has celery in it. Other than that everything was great!

I don't usually write reviews but my experience here at Mountain Lyon Cafe was very disappointing and I can't believe I dropped $90 for breakfast with 4 friends! The price of food does not match the food quality. The serving of french toast was BLAND!!! No flavor - just bread and egg. The beans on the egg was not mentioned on the menu to contain meat and my vegetarian friend had to push that portion of the plate aside ($$ wasted). The O'brain potatoes were TASTELESS - I had to season with lots of pepper, salt, Tabasco (which I never use) and ketchup! The fruit plate was inedible - I NEVER make a fuss and return food - but because the fruit was slimy and the restaurant is FILTHY I could not risk eating raw foods from the kitchen!

The restaurant was very dirty - the table items advertising catering and such was covered with grease and dust. The table was sticky and the extra chair brought to the table was disgusting!

I would not recommend the Mountain Lyon Cafe for anyone - Too pricey, poor food, and unhygienic!

Stop here for breakfast on our road trip. We were not disappointed. Atmosphere is nothing fancy but the service was fantastic and they food was very good. The potato O'Brien were the best side potatoes! Make sure you get those if you like onions and green peppers.

I tried the Colorado Cakes, what a surprise! Three pancakes-bottom pancake was blueberry and it was loaded with delicious berries, next was the banana filled with tasty bananas and the top pancake was their Swiss Cake filled with apples and nuts topped with swiss cheese. I didn't know whether to eat them one at a time or a bite of each. Since I am diabetic it was nice I could enjoy these pancakes without syrup.

So many choices, you will not be disappointed.

While the menu here is not specifically Mexican, it touts itself as such, but if you're used to good Mexican food, stick to the American side of the menu! I had the chorizo and eggs. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't up to par either. The wife wanted a chile verde omelet, but not only did they not have it, they didn't even know what it was! She ended up with a chile rellano, which she said was well below expectations. But hey! The coffee was good, and our server was great in spite of the menu deficiencies!
I saw a few American plates being served and they looked fine, so it's probably worth a try.

Good hearty breakfasts, friendly efficient service, reasonable prices. Many locals dining and doing takeout but still plenty of seating available at 10:00 AM on a Wednesday.

We had breakfast here in early August and this is probably the best breakfast place in the Silverthorne/Keystone area. Their servings are large and delicious. I did the veggie breakfast burrito and my buddy did an omelette, both were great. Their house hot sauces were all pretty solid. They have table service now which is nice and the wait staff are all very friendly. The outdoor seating in the summer really hits the mountain vibe.
