Sauce on the Blue

I ordered the clam linguini- I overlooked that it said it has spicy sauce. I have had clam linguini before (at other restaurants) and it was not spicy. I wish the waiter would’ve fielded my selection by alerting me to how spicy this dish is. It is VERY spicy. I could not taste the clams, or anything but a pepper taste. Was thinking it would taste like clams, linguini, and butter and what they said in the menu was a white wine sauce. I had to excuse myself twice go to the restroom so I could blow my nose. Hot hot hot! I was really uncomfortable and did not enjoy this dish at all. Will be sure to never order this again. Yikes. Tastes like hot peppers. Maybe the chef dumped too many hot pepper flakes in it. Yuck.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!! We went for my Mom's 65th Birthday. My Dad got a margarita and my Mom and I got their Gin Fizz and they were strong and yummy. We informed the server, Julie (request her if she's available!) that I have Celiac and she was INCREADIBLEY knowledgeable. We got the Sautéed Mussels and the basil cream was absolutely to DIE for! I would drink that sauce if I could. The muscles were.huge and there were about 6 total. We ordered the Organic Arugula and Spinach salad, family size and it was more than enough for three people. We got the gluten free Penne alla Vodka with scallops but they accidentally brought out chicken but brought out scallops as soon as we mentioned it! They treated my Mom to a dessert of her choice, she chose the flourless chocolate torte. Everything was fabulous!

Right on the main drag in Silverthorne, you will find the wonderful Italian restaurant. They offer indoor or outdoor seating. If you sit outside, you will have a wonderful view of the river.

The food here was excellent. We also enjoyed some well made cocktails, and a fantastic dessert.

If you are in Silverthorne, this might just be the best restaurant in town. Once I try the rest, I will confirm. 😀

Hi Sauce!!

First of all what a beautiful restaurant. Nestled up against the Blue River. Thus….Sauce on Blue. Awesome patio too!!

We were staying at AirBNB about 7 miles away. We crew of 8 was tired. So we called to order TO GO. I had one with dairy allergies. During the call I was impressed with the seriousness they took the allergy.

We got there and even though they were packed our order was ready to go.

We got home and there was cheese on our non dairy order. Bummer.

Some of you are wondering why the five star review? Because of the way they handled and recovered from the mistake. Professional apologetic, and just wanting to make things right.

We did drive back and picked up the correct non dairy order.

Overpriced for the amount & quality of food you get. Ordered the fettuccine alfredo with scallops and only got 4 scallops with dinner. Waitress needs a little more personality as well. Been here before and was better. Just expected more.

It’s a nice location on the river BUT the outside deck is absolutely filthy!!!! Come on guys so simple to have it power washed!! One spot is black…. Ugh
