This Is not as good a food as it is priced as. Service varies depending on workers. Food always less quality than economical. Best burgers in town is one of the two Mexican restaurants. Personally, chavalos is my favorite burger. Sorry malt shoppe but service and quality of food is what youre all about. This place is okay in a pinch. They have the best Dr. Pepper in town. I've had a good burger here occasionally. It really depends on Who's working.

Huge burgers! We tried the bacon double, the Hellfire and cheeseburgers. Bacon was good. Green chile was good on hellfire. It wasn't what I would call hellfire but it did have some kick. Rhwre was way too much food. Shakes are good too. They didn't have elk or Buffalo burgers.

Best malted shake on earth hands down!!! And oh my goodness! Do you like hot dogs!? Cause oh my Lord! THIS hotdog was literally the absolute best dog I've ever had and I love me some hotdogs! They grilled the bun to perfection! We really enjoyed sitting out on the picnic tables taking in the scenes! If your in South Fork and don't stop here you're really missing out!!

Outside seating that’s covered, Heinz Ketchup and mustard on the tables. I got the patty melt, which was almost like a Rueben but a burger patty and a lot of thin sliced, caramelized onions instead of kraut. It was sooo good and huge. I got fries and rings bc I needed to try both; fries are classic my good, the rings are really good- crisp yet firm batter, not terribly greasy. Closed with a strawberry malt- Heaven. The fresh fruit was delicious. I wanted to go back for an avalanche (like a DQ blizzard) but didn’t have time before I left CO. Must try this when you’re in South Fork!
When we drive Cortez to Denver or Denver to Cortez we stop for delicious burgers here. We've never been disappointed in their burgers or fries. Being dairy allergic we've never tried their shakes or malts. We always get our food and go but they do have some picnic tables outside to enjoy your food at. Our favorite is the bacon burger. It is huge, filling, and yummy. Much better than any fast food and supports local.

Trip to the East Coast couldn't stop for lunch so by the time I got over the mountain I was starving!!! Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and a Pepsi. Food came out quicker than I thought it would and burger was not only big but delicious. They accidentally gave me fries instead of onion rings but realized the mistake and gave me an order of fries also. The woman at the windows and the cooks all were pleasant. Definitely a hidden gem. Have to try a malt next time
