The hotspot has always been overpriced! Moving out to the golf course was probably the best move they made. Frankly, you don’t get what you pay for. I find the food ridiculously overpriced.ok so you want more input. The street tacos are $15 for 3… NOT enough meat to justify the price. They are mediocre at best. The no bake strawberry cheesecake $10 a slice… wow for that price I could have made an entire cheesecake! I’m entitled to my input. It’s just how I felt about the food and the atmosphere is dim and outdated.

The old Hot Spot was just a few blocks away so we went there a lot. Always the ribs, fries, cheese curds, once in awhile the pulled pork nachos. Staff always does a fine job. Just went to the new Hot Spot last night. I decided to try the brisket grilled cheese. Disappointed that it wasn't on sourdough (the best bread for grilled cheese) and it really should be cheddar which compliments bbq meat much better than American, plus a breaded onion ring on there would be good. Wife stuck to tradition and ordered the ribs. They were good, but a smidgen dry which only happened once before in countless visits. Could've been that cow. The BIG disappointment was the fries?. They switched from the classic crispy krinkle fries (THE BEST!) to McDonald's fries. Go back to the correct fries and I'll put the 5th star back up there.
The waitresses were busting their butts and handled a rush like champs great job.

Found by accident. Great food and good layout which appears to have a large tavern attached which would be great in the evening for dinner and night out.
Weary from our long travels, my mother orders my brother to look up a place to eat. After seeing a long and eloquent review, we decide to eat at The Hot Spot Smokehouse. Parking on the side of the street, my family of four approches the door not realizing it isnt the main entrance. The door is locked so we double check the hours and stand there in confusion. As we contemplate calling the restaurant, my mother walks around and spots people in the restaurant. We walk around the corner and spot the main entrance. Holding the door open to a long bearded old gentleman. I smell the cigarette smoke clinging to his clothes. "Thanks brother" he replies, intriguing me to the kindness that this town provides. Greeted at the door by a kind server girl, she tells us to sit where we would like. We find a table with half booths for us kids and half chairs for the parents. Sitting down, my brother and mother head to the bathroom. The same waiter comes by and asks us for our drink orders. Water with lemon for the table. After my brother comes back, i take my turn in the bathroom. The bathroom is clean and smells great with their air freshener active. After washing my hands. I am required to wait a while for the automatic towel dispenser to slowly spew out its possession. Leaving the bathroom i sit back down and after some time decided on the belly buster sandwich. A pulled pork and pork belly on broche bun. Recieving our food, I plan out a point of attack for my towering sandwich. Deciding to just give up all decency and just go for it, I devour it with ease and pleasure. Adding the provided spicy barbecue to it only increase the taste one hundred fold. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fix of meat that doesn't mind a 25 dollar average per person. Easily a five star review for sure. NO hesitation.
Just passing through town on our summer vacation. Our waitress was very friendly and offered great suggestions. Restaurant was very clean and the food was great - price and portion were on par too. Don’t skip the dessert either, fresh, HUGE and homemade!

Great Place and amazing food! There's a lot to choose from, but I had the smoke house grilled cheese with brisket, it was amazing! The server , I may be wrong with name Kristina, but the server was amazing and fun! Highly recommend! We sat on the food side.

I had the 2 meat with coleslaw. Beef brisket was tender and good. Could of had a little more smoke flavor but was good. Pork Belly OMG was spot on. Perfect in every way. So delicious!! I sat at the bar and service was excellent. Lacking 1 star because of only 4 subpar beers on tap. Come on BBQ n Beer? A brewery right next door that was closed on Monday's. Why wouldn't you support it with some of there brews on tap? Maybe small town rivalry? I'm passing through. Made a good choice on this one.

Have not been inside. So far, ribs are delicious. They also have a great side salad. My only complaint is they never seem to have the jalapeño coleslaw, I have never tried it, but will keep asking. I always order through the window, person answering the window is always friendly.
