The dinner options are decent and the banana caramel foster was delicious, but the breakfast was mediocre at best. It almost seemed like they had a different lead chef between the morning and evening. We had the cheeseburger which was solid and the banana foster for dinner. The banana foster had a perfect glazed sugar topping and the cake was moist and well-crafted. However, we did not receive service for more than 20 minutes after we were seated and I noticed that many of the other guests had not either. However, for breakfast, the pancake was ok but a bit bland. The huevos rancheros was burned and drenched in poor quality salsa, while the bacon was burned to the point it was not edible. The tortilla was too hardened and burned to eat. Based off of the conflicting experiences, I am giving this 3 stars

We visited over spring break and had a great time. My suggestion is to go with the right attitude and expectations. Service was a little slow but they were packed. Our waiter Luis was very friendly and very hardworking but was also serving half the restaurant. He did a great job and it did not affect our experience. The food was outstanding!

I ordered the trout. It was dry, bland and mediocre. A companion had the etoufee and was not particularly pleased. The calamari was tasty but hard to ruin that. The only person who ordered a good meal was steak frites. The restaurant itself was noisy and crowded. So no the atmosphere was not great.

It’s inside of a resort. Came here during a winter snowstorm so didn’t get to see the views that I’m sure are spectacular on a clear day. The service was excellent, the sandwich was delicious however the chili was not good at all, the meat was very dry and grainy.Parking: Free valet for 2 hrs

Once we sat we didn't see a server until 20 minutes. Then took us another 20 minutes to get a drink and had to remind them. Received a wrong entree, forgot appetizer and made errors in the bill multiple times after checking. Disappointing service for the prices and hotel it's in.

Service was top notch. Our waiter Eric was very attentive, pleasant and professional. The support staff was also excellent. Our water glasses never went below 3/4 and our empty plates were cleared at just the right time. We had our 2 1/2 year old grandson with us and they were very accommodating. We had the Stuffed Chicken, Elk Tenderloin, Burger and Bolognese and loved every dish. The view and overall atmosphere was just perfect. We will be back!

Service was top notch. Our waiter Eric was very attentive, pleasant and professional. The support staff was also excellent. We had several different meals and loved each dish. We had a 2 1/2 year old with us and they were very accommodating. The view and overall atmosphere was perfect. We will return!

We had a 7:30 reservation on a Friday night and were rushed out of the restaurant before 8:30. The server dropped off dessert menu just after our entree arrived. They started to turn off the lights before even finishing our meals. In regards to the food -They were “out” of key ingredients in the dishes we ordered so the food wasn't as good as the others reviewed. Ambience was stale. Too many other great places to eat in Telluride.

The only thing worse than the food was the service. The sommelier was condescending and not very knowledgeable. I live in Telluride and I can't imagine ever going back to Altezza.

My husband, young daughter, and I dined here last night for the second time within the last two months. Both times we experienced a flavor extravaganza and very friendly, knowledgable, and helpful service. We tried a variety of items from the menu. Each and every dish we tried was superb and special. To start we tried the Pozole Verde which is absolutely, hands down, the best I have ever had of any soup-comforting, hearty yet light, with a mind-tripping flavor profile, more like an amuse-bouche for the soul (I could have left then very satisfied, but it was so good I wanted to try the other menu items); the Pomegranate Tenderloin Bites; the Elk Tenderloin, the Andouille Sausage and Beehive Cheddar Stuffed Chicken Breast. The desserts we tried were phenomenal- again comforting, delicious, standalone unique and special. My husband had the Bananas Foster Salted Caramel which he said was the best dessert he has ever had and we are talking an east coast foodie. I had the Chocolate Torte which melted my will power to a puddle. I was stuffed from dinner, yet rendered helpless by the layers of dark chocolate with the sweetness nicely contrasted by the strawberry coulis. My daughter had the locally made selection of a couple scoops of ridiculously flavorful ice cream. On our most recent trip the head chef brought us a dessert to try- a cup of beautifully toasted marshmallow meringue swirled like frothed milk atop a warm melt-in-your-mouth, molten, dark chocolate custard that we had no intention of finishing because we, again, were so satisfyingly full, but could not stop ourselves. All of the dishes were a heady, tastebud trip that left us on a high. Also, I have Celiac Disease. Not only did they go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable about the safety of the food preparation, but they accommodated me by altering any dish, if necessary, to make it gluten-free. The head chef delivers the main course to each and every table. Altezza is an unparalleled experience!!

Beautiful views, great menu, and solid food for a ski town. Probably one of the better meals we had throughout our stay, albeit a bit pricy, but at this point if you're going to spend $50+ on lunch, you may as well get the good stuff! Our server was also excellent. We went in for a late brunch/early lunch. The menu offered mostly breakfast items with a few salads and sandwiches. The French dip is 100% worth the money - it was so good! Perfectly cooked, soft, tasty bread, great horseradish and au jus. Add the truffle fries for the perfect side. Avocado toast was okay. Bread was soft but the avocado was minimal and sliced vs. mashed and spread. The smoked salmon add-on was generous and very fresh. The Greek yogurt bowl is pricy but hits the spot if you enjoy berries, tart Greek yogurt, and a sticky Colorado honeycomb. Overall, we very much enjoyed our visit and regret not eating here more often throughout our stay!

We had an appetizer special of rock shrimp coated with sesame seeds and chili sauce, delicious. I was not as happy with my Colorado trout main course, which was too dry and had overly coated breading with seasonings I did not particularly like. Servers were very attentive, pleasant ambiance, fair prices.
