Chop House Restaurant at New Sheridan

Great atmosphere. Comfortable seating, good service. The sides were excellent. Spinach, cauliflower, potatoes. The NY STRIP was excellent. We shared the bison steak, that was not the best. Next time we will all go for the steak!

New Sheraton chophouse has up their game. They're a neighborhood jam and the food quality is some of the best than Telluride. Definitely a steakhouse but all the appetizers are amazing and so are the sides. Some of the best bartenders around and the service.is excellent.

Exceeded expectations! Excellent tasting steak, sides and wine selection. Don't pass up getting the chop house's premiere martini! I can't wait to go back for that particular item alone. We were celebrating 3 birthdays ( my 2 daughters and I are 2 weeks apart)! They went out of their way to make us feel special. They don't do anything embarrassing like sing to you however my family sang it and some folks across at the bar clapped! It felt very fun and the atmosphere was perfect for it! Had a wonderful experience at the chophouse. It was a busy night and our table wasn't quite ready. The manager was very kind came over and brought an appetizer on the house and then after the meal took another hundred dollars off our bill. The food was outstanding in the service fantastic. This is a must go to place if you're visiting Telluride.

We weren’t very hungry when we decided to go in here for a semi-dinner kind meal. Tuned out that was kind of good, considering how pricey it is. We ordered a cocktail and beer for our drinks and the cocktail was well made. For dinner we shared the Halibut, Skuna Bay Salmon and truffle fries. The Salmon with its tzatziki was a good combo and well cooked. The halibut, even though well seasoned and tasty, was just okay. My kids’ simple pasta was satisfactory. Service here was great though!

Can’t recommend this place enough, mainly for the excellent customer service. My boyfriend’s elk came out a little too well done and they immediately corrected it and took it off the bill. The drinks and food were OUTSTANDING. Will definitely be back

My friend ordered the lamb chops, and they were equally impressive, bursting with flavor and accompanied by creative sides that really complemented the dish.

The wine list is extensive, offering a great variety of options to pair with their delectable steaks. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us to the perfect bottle that enhanced our meal even more.

Fantastic lunch here with delicious French onion soup, a chopped salad with perfectly cooked and tender steak tips, and excellent trout salad. Jacob offered great suggestions and service!

Parking: On a late September day, street parking at $2/hour was easy to find.

Great spot! Probably the best restaurant in Telluride that has exceptional service, quality of food, and ambiance. It is rare that you find this level of authentic sophistication that doesn't feel imported from a big city. We made reservations for 10 which they accommodated by providing us with a semi-private alcove in the back of the restaurant. Also noteworthy: the wine selection was world class.

Good times! Food was good and the sights of 'ride are always great! Love making our annual trek for fall colors. If I had any advice, it'd be the rum n coke I ordered was very bland/flat. I think it was syrup without effervescents. But I didn't request a replacement so I'm not sure if it was their quality or the soda was tapped.
Bathrooms are downstairs but there may be an elevator that will bring you down- we took the stairs which are a teensy bit steep for my MIL.

We had to make a last-minute reservation change on the night my (now) wife and I eloped in Telluride. So, we chose to try the Chop House Restaurant. This was one of the best decisions we made the entire trip. We weren’t expecting the staff to be so accommodating because we made the reservation less than 24 hours before. Still, to our surprise, the hosts gave us an excellent table by the windows, and they gave us complimentary champagne to celebrate. Our waiter was fantastic, too! He was attentive and made us feel special. Plus, the food was superb. I’m very happy we chose to celebrate our elopement here.
