We waited a frustrating 25 minutes for someone to take our order, during which time the waitress seemed unaware that shrimp was an available option for the salad additions. When we finally placed our order, we also asked for an appetizer, but to our dismay, it arrived at the table alongside the main dishes instead of before them. I made sure to inform the server that this was unacceptable as it disrupted our dining experience.
Adding to our dissatisfaction, my salad was served a full 25 minutes after everything else had been brought to the table. At this point, I was feeling increasingly frustrated, and the situation escalated dramatically when the manager intervened. He approached us and not only accused me of being rude but also cursed at me, telling us to leave their town. I was taken aback by his disrespect and inability to handle the situation in a professional manner.
I've always believed in supporting staff, and I understand that the restaurant was busy before we were seated. Everyone has challenging days, but I felt that our concerns warranted respect and attention rather than hostility. I made it clear that the appetizer should never come after the main courses, as this is a fundamental part of dining etiquette. To compound the issues, our drinks took an astonishing 30 minutes to arrive, which further disrupted our experience.
While I can empathize with a busy restaurant trying to recover from a rush, that does not justify the way we were treated. It was incredibly disheartening to walk away feeling humiliated after spending $175 on what turned out to be a mediocre meal. The worst part was undoubtedly the poor service, which overshadowed any potential enjoyment we could have had from our dining experience. It's sad that a place that should foster goodwill and great food could leave us feeling so unwelcome and disrespected.

We were initially seated in a quiet area but had to ask for a server after waiting quite a while with no one coming to the table. The salmon was very good but the rest of the dish was lukewarm. The hostess then sat a family of 5 with three young children (all prob less than 6yo) in the booth behind me although there were 5 unoccupied booths around us (rather than adjacent). The kids were out of control, screaming, kicking both the wall and back of the seat (mine), standing up on the seat facing backwards yelling in my ear, the parents were debating something or other. This went on through our entire meal. We couldn’t wait to get out! When we got up to leave the father quietly said “I’m so sorry”. As we were leaving we mentioned to the manager that the hostess could have recognized that three young kids coming in the door loud and energetic could have been seated in a booth not next to other guests. He listened but honestly didn’t seem very concerned nor apologetic. I don’t blame the young hostess; I blame management for not training their staff better.
