After living in Vegas the past few years this gal is jaded when it comes to "exclusive" dining experiences. I do a lot of wine paired dinners and went to several speakeasy private venues in Vegas. This one "takes the cake" for fun and privacy. Not to mention excellent food and wine pairing. First of all, you better know the password to get in the front door! We didn't and almost got denied entry until my friend who booked it found it...geez. We were lead into a secret, private dining room for only 12 guests. You will sit with strangers but by the end of the night we all exchanged phone numbers to keep in touch. Only folks with WINE/FOOD/GLAMOUR taste would enjoy this! If Applebees is your type of experience - forget it !

My family and I have been to the Tunnel multiple times, and it is amazing every time! The wine pairing is always perfect. I usually only like white, but I love the reds they choose. The ambience is so cool, and the staff is so accomodating and friendly. A meal here is our favorite treat when we are in Telluride!

First of all, know that this has a pre fixe menu, there are no options. But it is very well done, this is a great chef, creative and tasty food. Also you should know that the main room is a communal table; but it is possible to ask for private tables in the side room, or on the patio. Service between courses might be a tad slow. It's in a strange location, in an office building. Because of this, they decided to play up the prohibition speakeasy theme, with camaflaged doors, secret passwords, a peep door etc. Makes for good theater. The food was quite innovative, really enjoyed the meal.

It’s hard to write a review during COVID, as you’re not sure how it affects your overall experience at restaurants and hotels, which may have been affected by a number of factors. First of all, the chef obviously knows what he is doing as the food was very well prepared and presented in a 6 course meal of South American dishes including Peruvian ceviche and Argentinian style flank steak. My problem with The Tunnel was the wine pairing, which was strongly suggested at $50 pp. None of the wines offered were great and some not even very good. Tasted one which retails for $9, just expecting something a little better. Another less than great experience was the atmosphere and the dining room and waiting”room”. The waiting room was a non- descript hallway with offices where you stood outside without chairs and couldn’t see in. The dining area consisted of one curtained area inside and an outside deck with a few tables. Just kind of put together with the limited space available, not very 3 or 4 star at all. Pretty expensive for what you get and not a great value, especially with the wine pairing.

We decided to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here and very much glad that we did. The food and service was amazing and working with Mark on planning the event was extremely easy and went exactly how we planned it. Would definitely recommend eating here!

Surprisingly delightful experience at Telluride’s only speak easy. We sat at the chef’s table with 10 other new friends! It was a refreshingly, fun experience. The food was delicious and the wine pairings were perfect. The pace of the six courses of food was spot on… we had 6:30 dinner rsvp and walked out at 9:45. We lingered in the company of our new friends for a time. Highly recommend Chef Mark’s place. We’ll be back for sure! Well done.

Wow! Our group of 11 had an amazing dining experience at The Tunnel. The passcode entrance, hidden doorway, private table, decor, server Betsy and chef Marc allowed for a unique evening. Marc was accommodating to food allergies and Betsy kept our glasses full. This is a must visit during your trip to telluride!

This “Speak Easy” dining experience just jumped to one of my top 5 dining experiences! The menu is preset by the Chef as a seven course meal with wine pairings. The Chef visits the table as each course is served and provides intricate details about sourcing and preparation; an awesome audio to compliment the visual feast! And the food! Unique flavor profiles that made me want to go home and test my inner chef! The flavors were amazing! If you are in Telluride and love food, you need to add this to your itinerary. The pictures do not do the food justice.

Was really impressed with the food and service at The Tunnel!! A fixed 6 course meal with wine pairing was top notch! Mark (chef) came out with each course and gave description of course and reasoning for including it in menu and with the wine. Betsy was extremely attentive. Portions were perfect sized! Menu changes every couple of months with a new password based on menu. Remember the secret password sent with your reservation as it is requested when you "ring the bell" to get in!!!

Fabulous and unique— off Main Street .. food was fabulous, had to give 3 passwords to get in. A bit of a cross between a secret speak easy and a gourmet bistro... delicious food! Wine was good not great. But it’s 10.00 per glass with large refills. Fun staff , a great spot not on Main Street! Note: use the password- “ I need a miracle” — seemed to work well. Great spot!!

Great dining experience! Shared a table with some friends and another family we did not know. Personalized service. Chef spoke to us before serving each of the courses of our six course meal. I travel the US on business and have some great meals. I would put this one in the top 5!

Dined at Tunnel with a group of girlfriends for their Cajun menu and we had a phenomenal experience. Food was delicious! When our first bite came, some of us were looking around thinking--hm, it's a little small--and then we tasted it: so much flavor! The courses were perfect, and ended up being the perfect size! So happy to have another great dining option in Telluride. The only part that wasn't exceptional was the wine pairing. It started out well with prosecco that perfectly pairs with everything. From there, there were so many other options that could have worked beautifully with the courses. The andouille in the jambalaya overpowered the pinot noir that was served. Yes, spice is so difficult to pair, but a dry riesling or a Vouvray would've been lovely. The Cote du Rhone was too heavy for their gorgeous fried catfish and crab cake (my favorite course of the night!). A pinot noir or a syrah would've paired well with the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, instead a lovely Super Tuscan was served and completely overpowered the dish. Again and again, the wine did nothing to complement the fantastic food. When I see a tasting menu with a wine pairing, I get so excited, so this was a bit of a disappointment. If you're looking for that kind of wine n*** transcendent experience, I would pay a little extra and take the snow cat up the mountain to Alpino Vino. But the food at Tunnel couldn't be better! I would maybe just go by the bottle/glass instead of the pairing.
