This is the second time I've ordered a birthday cake from this bakery. The baker, Ariana, has made beautiful, delicious cakes for us! The party guests are always impressed and ask for her contact. One of my friends ordered their child's custom cake from here too after seeing and tasting ours. Their bakery's pastries are delicious too.

I'll give the positives. The service is very good and friendly and a nice clean atmosphere. Let's be honest, people in this part of Thornton are starving for unique, locally owned, non franchise, small business. They are dying to find anything that remotely resembles this and call them local, hidden gems. THIS BAKERY IS NOT THAT! First off, I'm just going to give a review on the bagels. I would rate these below average. I would not give them a one star because they're not terrible. But they are far from a traditional bagel or even a New York style bagel. They are very wide and very thin. I would say they're around an inch so when you cut them they can be a half an inch or less on each side. The consistency is nothing like a bagel. It reminds me more of just a dinner roll But again the flavor isn't bad. it doesn't seem that they even boil these bagels. And it doesn't feel like they cook them at very high temperature.

One of my favorite places to get breakfast bagels. They also have conchas, the most delicious looking cupcakes, cakes, and bread.Do yourself a favor and skip the Starbucks bagel to come here. You won't be disappointed

What an awful experience. I went and requested 3 words to be written on a cake they already had. The lady said she could do it in 5 minutes and I should have let her do it. I had my dog in the car so I went for a hike. 2 hours later when I come back the young lady tried to box the cake while hiding it from me. I asked to see it and noticed why that was the case. The word Welcome was completely illegible. You could recognize a W and an L. The lady told me her boss came, did it quickly, and left. So now I had an ugly cake and no way to get a refund. To be clear, the young lady there was incredibly sweet and kind and did her best to fix it. In the end she did make the top pretty, but I had to wait 30 minutes for a simple job they had 2 hours to complete and the color scheme used in the end completely clashed with the rest of the cake. To the owner, who came in and carelessly wrote my message, I am a manager myself and our job is to care for our team and help them with difficult situations, not create tough moments for them to deal with by themselves. Please do better by your staff and by your guests.

This shop has done much better under new direction. The staff is always helpful. The bakery goods are delicious, and they've become my go-to for bagel breakfast sandwiches.
One of the best bagels sandwiches that I've ever had. The cakes looked so delicious but, I didn't try one. They also make empanadas too. Can't wait to go back.

I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday giving a few general ideas/requests and hoping for the best. When I came to pick it up and saw it in the case, I couldn't stop smiling--it was SO cute! Exactly what I wanted, and meticulously decorated. And the flavor was unique and delicious, vanilla with a hint of spice as requested. Thank you, Sweet Life Cake Shop!
