Dickey's Barbecue Pit

My catering order was supposed to be ready at 11:00 and I had to sit in a dirty sticky restaurant for 50 minutes while they cooked the food. When I asked what was taking so long I was snapped at telling me they couldn’t serve raw chicken and they had other orders. Meanwhile my group was waiting and now can’t eat for an hour because of the seminar they are in. Last time I ordered they forgot all together. Never again!

Ordered online and tried to do a deal for a buy one get one on the two meat plate. After calling and explaining, the owner Josh explained he can’t control much because it was placed online, but offered me two free plates because he didn’t want to just apologize and leave it at that. That is excellent customer service and was very much appreciated. I have always loved going to Dickey’s, so glad to know the owner of this location is such a great person.

This is my go to for BBQ. They are no Arther Bryant’s but they have good bbq! I have NEVER been disappointed with my orders, ever. I hope I did not just jinx myself lol. I have had every meat they offer except turkey, every side. My favorite is the baked potato casserole and green beans :)and dessert, aka brownies. Omg are they delicious! This store has really good BBQ! And now to the heartbeat of the store, the staff. I’m sure they are underpaid hence understaffed and thanks to all of these bad reviews, 1/2 of them Im calling BS on, under tipped. They suit up, show up and are assets to this place. I went in there tonight and I noticed they no longer have those little cups of different bbq sauce, that was nice and I admit I’d take a couple of each depending on the size of my order.
The restaurant is clean and has a nice vibe. I will always go here for BBQ and I really hope they are able to stay open.

Order a full rack of ribs n they send me a little tiny box of 7 or pieces now I know what a full rack of ribs is im ver disappointed n for the price I paid like we're the rest of my rack is all im saying

Look at the reviews I’m not the only one this place is gross

I did not get his name but the guy working the carving station tonight is one of the coolest people I have had the pleasure of being served by in any type of restaurant. Easy going and friendly as you can be, plus he showed genuine appreciation for the simple fact that we were patient and kind while he finished a giant order before he could help us. Whomever you are, keep up the good work my friend because you make the difference between picking up dinner and a memorable experience that involves picking up dinner. Thank you!

The employees seemed to be understaffed, so the food sat for too long and was almost cold by the time we started eating. No sauces were out and no ice cream. The lights were way too dim.

Drove 20 minutes and didn’t check the bag. Was missing multiple items. Drove back very upset and the guy (should have got his name) was very apologetic and more than compensated our inconvenience! Everyone makes mistakes, but he handled it with amazing customer service without batting an eye! Thanks so much! Will definitely be back!

The dining area is dirty. Need to clean the stickiness off the tables and chairs, clean the windows and make sure restrooms are clean and useable.

Brisket sandwich is awesome

The service here is terrible, only to be outmatched by the mediocre bbq. The garbage pail kid looking employees don't make eye contact, make fun of you because you can't hear them (I am partially deaf) and then in no way indicate that they are actually taking the order you're telling them. Then, they couldn't seem to remember what we just told them (big surprise), so only then are they interested in actually taking an order. $40 later, mediocre food came reasonably fast and we will never go back. If you don't want to work in the food service industry, get a different job. The boy working the order taking window, if that's what you want to call it, was rude and it was uncalled for to make fun of someone who couldn't hear. This place was completely empty, and now I see why.

Worst fries this side of the MISSISSIPPI! Fries were literally raw in sections not cooked. Large fry ordered and inedible. Honestly the worst fries in the past decade of eating. I could not believe they boxed these! So limp and sections are raw potato. Staff was great though! No we do not want a refund. The Brisket like others mentioned was flavorless, the beef ribs nothing but fat and I wish we had just ordered our mac and cheese with the chicken and the baked potato that has a pile of meat on it. Wish you had not stuck the butters that every worker sifts thru the butter container- in with the hot food and wish we had not gone to Dickies actually at all. So please management no refund no offer of a refund. Do not waste your time offering. Sorry. Paid out $95 and we should have paid for what was decent to eat $25. Oh well....Save yourself ..if you are going to order just get the mac and cheese and add meat to it, and just get the loaded baked potato and add meat to it. Posting the large fry photo you can see how literally uncooked they are! My gosh.
