The food is wonderful. Comfort food. The restaurant itself has a lot to be desired. But if you can get past that then it’s like eating home cooked food. I personally love their red chili with some sopapillas or tortillas. The best! Also…. If you’re from out of town and the locals seem to be staring at you when you walk in just stare back or say “Howdy” to them. That’ll get us to smile. ?And don’t be surprised to find the place closed when it says they’re open online. Like today. It’s Sunday and it says they’re open online but found them to be closed. It’s small town America folks and sometimes there aren’t enough people to work or somebody is sick.

I never even got to eat!! It's 12:08pm on a Friday. I walk in with two others in my party. Two gentlemen walk in a minute or so behind me and a few minutes later a couple walk in. It's seat yourself. Waitress arrives several minutes later. Waitress drops menus silently, goes to the couple and drops menus. Then goes to the gentleman to take their orders. Trying to be patient I wait. Waitress then goes to the couple for their order, which made us last. What was her game? I didn't appreciate this at all. So I took my business with me when I left.

Service is wonderful! Can't write too much about the food...but, the biscuits are good. Their green Chile gravy grows on you! I'll try other things on menu.

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant out, had looked at couple of reviews online, however my experience wasn't really what I had hoped for it to be. I give 2 stars because the food wasn't horrible, it was actually pretty good! However when my family and I arrived we weren't greeted and told to sit wherever after standing at the counter for a few minutes. One of the waitress kept looking at us in a strange manner and it was very obvious that my family and I weren't from the area as all the "locals" that were dining in as well kept staring at us. We stopped by as we were on the road and this visit didn't really satisfy us.

Excellent food. Prepare for a possible long wait mid morning--our order was delayed by kitchen mixups so we got our food about forty minutes after ordering. We had a breakfast burrito and Mexican breakfast egg sandwich and both were good. Two entrees and coffees were about $32 with tax and top. The waitress was apologetic for the wait. Everyone was VERY nice. The restaurant has limited hours so check on line or call. They are open daily every day from morning to early afternoon. They have the usual restaurant breakfast items and also lunch, and Mexican breakfast and other entrees. Ambiance is straight up 1970s roadside restaurant vibe, with James Dean, John Wayne posters etc. Recommended.

I moved to Trinidad 2 1/2 years ago & I can't believe I just found out about & tried Family Seed! (My fault completely, not theirs!)Fab-u-lous breakfast and sandwiches, great dishes with local flavor, plus it's SO much better than Tony's! (SERIOUSLY it's better Y'all!) The salsa is delicious - a bit spicy for me, but I'm a wuss when it comes to stuff like that anyway. Truthfully there's only one thing I don't like: their hours.I wish they were open more days & for dinner! (My waistline is happy though! ?)And I gotta give their cooks & server my absolute 5 stars. They were working their butts off because they were understaffed, so the wait was a bit long, but it was hot & scrumptious when we got it.
