Even the breading is different, their menu shows a classic breading but they use a panko style breading that you can easily find online. Fries aren't seasoned, as shown, but are a soggy rustic cut with skins still on.Tartar sauce and cole slaw (dry, should just call it shredded cabbage and carrots) are uninspired and bland.What is worse is that their hush puppies have shellfish in them, but no mention of it anywhere, and I am allergic! Yup, I had to waste an epipen on this place because they don't care enough to be transparent and truthful with their customers. How about being famous for that?To top this $18.99 (not a typo) mistake off was the little plastic fork they give you to eat it. The thing can't even handle the effects of gravity and atmospheric pressure, much less a bite of whatever this is.I try hard to find something positive, and 1-star reviews are few and far between in my history, but this place deserves it. There is nothing to bring me back. But, I get to look at the bright side... I'll get to see my doctor again to get a new epipen! That's a few hundred dollars down the drain.I should have listened to the real reviews and not let my opinion be swayed by all of the reviews they obviously farmed or paid for.If you want a small portion of uninspired 'food' at astronomical prices. Go to Hollywood.

A hidden GEM! The fish sandwich was huge and delicious! The fresh made crab salad was delightful. The hush puppies were flavorful and fun. The owner was kind and appreciative of our business. We stopped on our way through town. A small eclectic bar/grill. We had the fish and chips, shrimp, and a burger. The hushpuppies were amazing. They had crab and jalapeños and were the size of a baseball. The coleslaw was great and fish was delicious. We are on a road trip and love to find local places. The owner/cook came out to play our 15 yr old in Foosball. Waiter was super friendly. Not a quick stop but was a fun stop.

Great food, great service and a great atmosphere. Locally owned and operated in an historic Trinidad building. It's great to see how passionate they are about the quality of food and service. They will be starting to serve breakfast soon, I'm sure a great breakfast menu will be available. The green chili is the best I've ever had. Make sure to check it out.

We stopped in looking for a beer as we we just passing through Trinidad on the way further west. This place is kind of confusing because it looks like a heavy metal live venue but the food was really great. I was skeptical at first but we decided to try the fish and chips. Very delicious with house made fries and crab salad. We took ours to go but had we dined in we would have tried more menus items. Try it.

Let’s start with the name… this “bar and cafe” has no bar! Yes, they serve beer and wine, but don’t arrive expecting a full bar with a bartender - you’ll be sorely disappointed. But what you WILL find is a good music-themed restaurant with very very good seafood. Guitars, basses and album covers line the walls. Eleven(!) TVs play concert videos. Think a Hard Rock Cafe atmosphere, done small town style. The menu is limited, with burgers and multiple seafood options. The fried fish and seafood is all breaded and fried to order in-house. The big hush puppies are homemade and delicious. French fries are fresh potatoes cut in-house and fried to order. The fried seafood that we both ordered was uniformly excellent. I don’t get to Trinidad often, but I’m looking forward to eating here again the next time I do!

Fantastic food and experience! All the food was outstanding from the homemade mozzarella sticks to the seafood platter! Undoubtedly the best food in Trinidad! Johnny the owner / chef is extremely passionate about what he does and it shows. We will definitely be back!

Owner is the chef and the waitress is his wife, super friendly couple, great service and awesome food. We ordered beers, fish and chips, buccaneer’s platter and 2 orders of fish tacos - all were excellent! In fact the fish tacos are my new standard for judging all other fish tacos! We’ll be back the next time we are in town as this was just a great place with awesome owners and food!
