Our first real trip here to Trinidad and had to stop in to the infamous Sam's Place. Not a stranger to be had here. Felt welcome immediately. Even though everyone knows everyone, they all made us feel at home.Sam and George are great hosts. Becky the bartender is friendly and attentive.

Stopped by on my way around the Highway of Legends to dodge the storm. I had a great time and met the friendliest owners, staff and patrons. I'll definitely stop by again while I'm still out this way from Pennsylvania. Thanks for the hospitality!
I love this place! Sam and George (owners) are wonderful ppl! The bartenders are always attentive.
A classic diner/cafe, home town place to eat. Not fancy but very good food and large servings. Seating is tight but the food makes up for it.
Quiet and down to earth little pub
Great breakfast in Trinidad Colorado, a bit off the interstate but worth it. Traveling back to Texas and it’s time for breakfast? You better eat in Trinidad. Our GPS said Bob and Earl’s was temporarily closed, turned out they will be closed the last week of July and first of August for vacation, but it was open last weekend. I’m glad it was. Our granddaughter ordered a pancake, it came out looking like a bear! I had a traditional egg and meat breakfast but with Italian sausage, it was delicious. But the star of the show was my wife’s burrito! Not your typical little burrito, no, this was a full meal, covered in that green Chile sauce that seems to be in every Colorado menu! Thank goodness she ordered the “half” portion! It was a monster. Next time I go I’m just ordering the homemade pie!
Great environment, great people, everyone is always super friendly!
Found this place last Friday while visiting Trinidad. It was excellent! A small, family cafe with friendly people and delicious food! I had the great breakfast burrito with green sauce, topped with cheese, lettuce and tomato. Very filling, very tasty! Would gladly have it again. My wife had the bacon-and-eggs with French toast which she loved! Would definitely go back and definitely recommend it!
This is a cute, family run place with traditional offerings and everything was tasty. Service was great. I read reviews about the service being slow- but every business is suffering and the servers at Bob &Earls did there best during a busy Saturday morning. The green chili and the pancakes were awesome. We all left very full and happy.
Off the beaten path but enormously pleasing and worth while. Family of 3 each ordered a favorite meal. I had open faced Christmas chili French Fry burger. Was completely satisfying.
The little waitress wiped my dirty table down with a dry napkin. She spent most of her time on the phone and catering to her "regulars"
Sam and George always make it fun
