Sita's Kitchen has a welcoming Eastern vibe. Today's soup was a hearty, cumin-curry-scented bowl of fresh veggies and pinto beans, all locally grown.

My mango, banana, pineapple, hemp milk smoothie was a satisfying meal in itself.

Jessica and Ronald opened this charming café 8 years ago.

Small wonder it's a favorite hangout for students.

I absolutely love this place! Beautiful atmosphere, and the owners are awesome. super friendly and accommodating. I had the jackfruit sandwich and it was quite literally some of the best BBQ I've had. Not to mention the chocolate silk pie. This dessert is in a category of its own with rich chocolate flavor and a thick creamy texture unlike anything I have ever tried before! Definitely worth a sit down!

I got the falafel on flat bread and the chocolate silk pie. Small servings at a high price. The sandwich was okay. I was really expecting an explosion of flavor based on the description. The silk pie tasted like a spoonful of cocoa or cacao powder. Way too strong. The owner is incredibly condescending. I noticed that in other reviews. I won’t be going back. It came highly recommended so I was really anticipating a delicious meal. 😢😢😢

The food was outstanding. We had the grounding roots for appetizer BBQ Jackfruit and falafel salad. The BBQ jackfruit was the star. We will be back next year when we travel back through.

The Chef was happy and friendly. The food was really good. We were traveling and camped at Trinidad Lake and made a point to stop again on our way back. Bring your own cup and get 10% off coffee. I hope we get to go back to Trinida just to stop at Sitas. Pretty little town!!

Man you gotta wear a hairnet on that beard, I can't order falafel without a side of 6 strands of hair

This place is amazing! Some of the best food we have had (vegan or not). We both ordered the Mr. McGregor's Garden sandwich.

Truly one of the best wraps either of us has ever had. You could taste how fresh everything on the wrap was. We also tried the hummingbird cake, chocolate silk pie, and the apple pie. All three were fantastic. The chocolate silk pie was heaven on a plate.

The owners are such a nice couple. The next time we are even near Trinidad we will make a detour to eat here. So yummy!

We are from Texas and every time we travel through Trinidad Co we have to stop and eat here. Everything we've ever had was absolutely delicious and fresh ingredients. The owners are very friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting and relaxing. We definitely recommend you give this place a try even if you aren't vegan or vegetarian.

Stopped here on our road trip and absolutely loved it. I dare say it was the best curry I’ve ever had! Great atmosphere and kid friendly. Ram the owner was very cool too! Can’t wait to come back.

Happy vegan! We stopped in trinadad for lunch as a halfway point between Denver and Santa Fe. So glad I found this delicious little cafe. My non vegan friends loved their meals too. Super heathy and tasty. I’ll be back.

This little hidden treasure is amazing! The owners are welcoming, gentle and great hosts to their clients. My husband and I just stopped by the town on our way to Phoenix and we fell in love with their food and their plat wall!! 🥰💕 We definitely are coming back!

Had high hopes for this place after looking at the “Happy Cow” reviews however once I filtered negative reviews on Google I was worried but I done ordered my food.
Sadly, the vegetable curry with tofu lacked flavor.. almost like it was watered down. There were lots of veggies in it but bland flavor. For $18 I should be getting a flavorful meal with a decent portion size or at least a few more pieces of bread with it. I didn’t even finish my meal.
Out of all three meals you see in the photos, the jack fruit bbq sandwich was the best. $18 for that too though.. that’s a $12 meal at most.
I spent $25 total with my peach tea, which was the best thing out of my purchase, and I left hungry and disappointed.
The cinnamon rolls were pretty good.. they cost $8 and are small. I tried a bite and thought the rolls could use more cream cheese icing / cinnamon to balance out the bread-to-icing / cinnamon ratio.

Not every dish here bursts with flavor — for example, the curry and the stuffed sweet potato were fairly mild. However, the sloppy joe and the cinnamon roll were absolute standouts, both a solid 10/10 in flavor. Prices are a bit steep for the portion sizes, so value could be better. Overall don’t make a trip here just for the food only if you cannot find other vegan places.
