My partner and I were driving through Trinidad and happened upon this wonderful restaurant on a Sunday evening. The positive reviews that I read were definitely accurate. Sunset is unassuming from the outside but has an unreal amount of different options of wonderful great tasting food. Their service was terrific as well. We will definitely be recommending Sunset to others and coming back on our next time through town.

This is my 1st ever restaurant review. I would not normally dine at a restaurant in a motel next to a pot shop. However, after eating here a month ago en route to TX, I have DREAMED of this place’s naan & chicken tiki masala! We planned our Thanksgiving return trip so as to land here for dinner. Add the butter chicken to the list of musts! The Indian food here is phenomenal!!! The waiters are kind, engaging, & the service was remarkably fast. Everything was spotless. DO NOT be dissuaded by the location! Sunset Grill is a DELIGHTFUL experience in every way!
Kid-friendliness: The entrees are large & easily feed two.

Ordered the lamb chops, medium. Came well done, tough to chew, and the flavor of burnt was the overwhelming flavor. My wife got the ribeye mid rare, came out mid at best, tough to chew and not much flavor. My son got the oven chicken tacos, again flavorless with maybe some salt, but at least chewable, he also had the street tacos with pork carnitas, tasted like shredded pork with salt as the flavoring but chewable. I've had way better food from a taco truck. Very disappointing especially for the price. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

This restaurant is attached to a hotel. You can get to the restaurant without going into the hotel. There is direct access to the restaurant towards the left side.
Our GPS took us right to the front door, but if you're not using GPS you may have a hard time finding it.
The food was excellent. I had the rack of lamb which was very fairly priced and was delicious. My girlfriend had the hamburger which was also good.
The service was also excellent. The staff was super friendly and very attentive.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's actually really beautiful inside and they have beautiful views. I posted a picture of the sun setting in one of the photos.
There's also a full bar. Plenty of seating and plenty of parking.

Great hidden gem, Chicken Tikka was excellent, and the Naan bread was some of the best I've ever had. I will be stopping here anytime I'm in Trinidad.
