So we’re from out of town and were looking for a good place to eat. I googled for restaurants in Trinidad and thought we’d try out the Sunset Grill. I have to be honest we weren’t impressed when we pulled up but thought we’d give it a try. Boy am I glad we did! We found this hidden gem with a variety of different delicious food from around the world. The fettuccine Alfredo is homemade and excellent. My husband had lamb curry which not only smelled wonderful but was equally as good. We will make it a point to stop back in the next time we’re in town!

The portions are huge! Definitely got our moneys worth! We ended up taking it home in a to-go bag because we were so full. The crab was AMAZING! We had friendly service. We shall definitely be returning!

It's next to a hotel looks rinky dinky but I'll tell you what. Best damn Mac and cheese, yellow lamb curry was 9/10. And sushi will fill you up but 5/10. They also have a bar.

If you enjoy Indian food, you should try Sunset Bar and Grill. It is housed in a roadside motel adjacent to I-25 in Trinidad, a wonderful historic town on the southern edge of Colorado.

We stopped for lunch on a weekday. I had the clay oven chicken tacos and my husband had the tiki masala. Our waiter offered us a choice of spice level. The portions were large and the food was very tasty. We were seated by the large windows with a nice view

Husband and I pulled into Hilton Garden Inn only to find out their restaurant and bar are closed on Sunday. Called Sunset Bar & Grill, and spoke with who I believed to be a manager. We ordered our meals AND a bottle of wine for delivery. We were so pleased with how easy the transaction was and how quickly the order was delivered to our hotel. Food was delicious! Highly recommended

Spending one night in Trinidad on an extended vacation, we chose Sunset Bar and Grill just because it was close to our hotel. We lucked out! The menu selections are amazing! Classic American and grill selections, but also Asian (Indian & Thai) dishes. My husband had stir-fried beef and I had butter chicken. I took the leftovers from the generous portion of chicken and rice, but decided not to take the leftover naan -- I told our waiter I usually preferred plain naan instead of garlic. He was kind enough to immediately offer to have the kitchen bake me another batch! I appreciated his thoughtfulness.

The food was amazing and the views were nice. Definitely agree, don’t let the old motel keep you from trying this! I ordered the pork steak meal with broccoli/asparagus medley. We also ordered a couple of starters—Crispy Cauliflower and Crab Cakes with Apple slaw. One of our adult sons ordered the Sunset Burger and my husband and youngest son each ordered the Curry Tikki Chicken with naan bread. The bread was a crowd favorite at our table! There were lots of original dishes that make it a great unique experience. And the food presentation reminded us of 5-star restaurants that we’ve been too. Overall a great place to put on your list of stops when traveling this way.
