The service was good this time. Cleanly was ok. The food not so great one plate was ordered with half chicken half beef and came with all chicken. Another plate was given to a different table and then brought to our table. Asked for them to cook a new one since I'm not gonna eat what was given to another customer. It was recooked part of it was burnt not much flavor. We won't be going back this is not the first bad experience we have had.
Great atmosphere, location and staff
We got a dinner to go and my husbands taco salad had minimal lettuce it was the smallest salad ever for $17 dollars (worth $3 at the highest). My meal was better, but did not come with the promised rice and refried beans and cream sauce instead of red sauce. We have been happy in the past, but with those two and some con queso it was $64 for maybe $6 dollars worth of food. The taste was good, but the volume and price were not. Will be eating at home for now on I am sorry I can't afford your new prices!! This is not fine dining.
Waitress was extremely rude. (older woman) Would not recommend, food was overpriced. Drinks were water down, went with a group of 4, 3 of us had hairs in our enchiladas. When asked politely if plate could be remade, was told to pay and leave.
Amazing food. Well worth the trip if your nearby. Service was also excellent. The molcajete traditional is plenty of food for 2.
Solid food option in Wellington with authentic flavors and food size portions. Their combos are good as well as their signature dishes, it appears the margaritas are also popular too. A nice kids menu for those with more basic needs and a fun environment with good service, cheers!
We sat on the patio. Which is spacious. I feel like we were forgotten about a few times. But, our server was friendly and quick when we needed something.
Food was ok, nothing to rave about.
Ordered a Veggie Burrito to go. Menu description was that it would have mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peppers and onions. I cut into the order and it had ONLY peppers and onions! Who would think that was a good filling for a burrito, not to mention it was nothing like the menu description? It was inedible and $18.98. I guess they don't care about food quality. I live 40 minutes away so there was no way I was going to take it back. Had previously had good food there. Won't go back...
Awesome burritos!

My favorite Mexican restaurant on the front range. I have tried probably 1/2 of the giant menu and haven’t had anything I didn’t like. The menudo or steak tampiqueña are my personal favorites. The margaritas are large and STRONG. Vibes are always right here. Can’t go wrong.

Best restaurant in Wellington
Wellington is a small town, the last stop for travelers heading north to Wyoming. If you’re traveling through, this is your best bet for a yummy meal.
The food is consistently delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices. We’ve never had a bad meal in the 5 or so years we’ve been dining here. Great salsa (chips are fine). My favorites are: carnitas place, enchiladas (cheese, green sauce, red sauce, cream sauce). The margaritas are fantastic, and it’s a geberous pour (prepare to get buzzed - i usually cannot finish obe over dinner). Great for kids, as they allow sharing without a surcharge. Take out is reliable- same quality and they always get the order right.
Decor / ambiance is festive and colorful. Staff is friendly and efficient. Management is super responsive to guests. The one and only issue we had (they mixed up a togo order and gave us two separate plates instead of a combo) was quickly resolved with a friendly apology and our choice of a refund or gift card for the inconvenience of getting too much food… how’s that for great customer service.
We’ll definitely be back, and soon (remembering their mouthwatering carnitas and planning our weekend accordingly)
Parking: Lots of free street parking available.
Kid-friendliness: Shareable plates without surcharge.

This place does basic Mexican food very well. They have a large menu to choose from. The servers are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is colorful and themed for Mexican dining. A small town gem to try and enjoy repeatedly.
