Here's the thing, I used to have Chappys rated 5 stars because the food is delicious. But I'm dropping it down to 3 because I got overcharged the last TWO times I came in. Both times I ordered to-go, so I tipped 3-5% because I wasn't taking up space, but I recognized Jersey was running around by herself taking care of a full restaurant. I just checked my credit card statement and was charged for an 18% tip and a 15% tip on those transactions. I'm disputing the charges with my bank with a picture of the receipts to prove what I actually agreed to pay.

The food is so good!! My only previous experience with cheese curds is from Freddy's, but the ones Chappys serves are so much better I don't think I can go back. The seasoning on them is top notch and they are fried to perfection. The Bite Me Burger is also fantastic. The server was so nice.

The owner makes the best grilled burger I think I've had dining out, and the fresh cut fries are a delicious side. Sit at the bar and chat with the friendly staff working the grill and prep. Don't be surprised if the waitress needs a bit of time to get to you, as they're often busy, so go during off hours if you can. Ignore any bad reviews about attitude and give them grace for having only 1-2 servers keep the place running. Both were incredibly sweet to me. Just be prepared to get a bit warm if you go during the summer and leave smelling like a grill, but it's worth a visit (or two in the case of my weekend trip to the area).

Not sure how this place doesn’t have a perfect 5 star rating because I’d give it 100 out of 5 stars if I could. Best burger I’ve probably ever had. The owner of the place was there behind the bar making the food and keeping a cool head even though he was short staffed and busy. Small town mom and pop vibes and the amazing smell is what drew me in. Sitting at the bar and feeling the heat from the woodfired grill while watching my food cooking was awesome. I’d eat here every day if I could. Probably my favorite restaurant of all time

This place serves great hamburgers. They are cooked with wood-fired grill, and the chef obviously takes pride in pampering the meat patties! I ordered mine cooked medium and it was a little underdone for my normal liking, but it was so juicy and good that I ate it all. French fries are fabulous, and chips and salsa were great

Absolutely delicious burgers!!!! My husband and I were recommended to come here and we are so glad that we did! He had the Rancher burger and I had a Bacon and cheese burger. I definitely recommend having pickles with them! Great staff and cook!

The lemon pepper chicken wings were amazing- didn’t even mind that we ordered some bbq ones- they brought it on the side. Best chicken wings I’ve ever eaten hands down! It was HOT in there with the doors open and the wood fire going - but they also had a second heater going so we worked up a good sweat before the meal. Like others out service was super slow - plan at least and hour or more and the head waitress has some serious local flair 😉 but the wings were worth the wait. Family friendly with color books for the kids. Very much a local hangout!
The food was quite good and came out very fast. Our group of three got two beers, and the waitress double charged us so we were charged for four beers. I pointed out the discrepancy and asked if it would be a huge hassle to change, and we offered if it would be difficult we would just take the two additional beers instead. The waitress was rude, never apologized for her mistake, and acted like we were a huge inconvenience in her day.

Amazing hamburger with hand cut fries. Avoid the brisket as it's very fatty and a very meager portion. Service is mediocre with the older waitress rude to newcomers and unfriendly to everybody else. Charmless dive.
