The highway to Westcliffe has beautiful scenic views! Absolutely enjoy bowling at the rancher roost and until our last visit the restaurant. We were seated at our table and asked for what drinks we would like, the young waitress returned with menus, 2 waters and the coffee desired quickly. We then watched at least 4 tables of locals be seated and have their orders taken. When two of the tables were already eating and we were STILL waiting to order, we left. Food is average at best, but the view and drive there is outstanding! Service personnel are polite young amateurs, the adult hostess seats and services all friends first. At best you can hope for is that it is not popular at the time you arrive. A good restaurant manager could bring this very nice restaurant to its full potential.
Definitely a great family friendly place great service! And a great menu
The food was super good! I ordered a green chili burger, cooked medium and the cook nailed it! Highly reccomend!

This place is at the end of the main drag through Westcliffe in the same building as the bowling alley.
There is a video game room and full bar inside as well.
Food was good, service was great. Views from the windows while dinning. It wasn't real busy on a Sunday afternoon.
Loads of parking evenbwithba trailer.

Not pet friendly
Absolutely terrible customer service - myself and my 80 year old grandparents come in 1.5 hours before closing time, only to be met with an immediate, harsh “we’re not taking any more customers at this time” from the young woman working the front desk. If there are any owners/managers reading this to address it with their employees… she’s the one with multiple facial piercings.
I ask if they will be taking customers later, and got the same response… seems like her manager(?) chimed in to tell us the same thing. I explained there is nowhere else open, and I have 80 year old grandparents who are hungry and tired. Met with the same “we’re not taking any customers at this time” - they wouldn’t even make eye contact with me or offer any sort of explanation, reasoning, or what you would expect from someone working in customer service, like an “I’m sorry, we’re backed up and running low on ingredients so we have to close early. We’ll be back open tomorrow, come see us then!” ANYTHING other than what they offered.
It felt like there was some sort of happiness they had in sounding like a broken record: “we’re not taking any customers at this time” while avoiding any explanation, eye contact, or offering a solution of something else that might be open that we might not know about.
Anyways - in a town where jobs are scarce and a lot of your revenue comes from tourists, I’d try a different approach next time when you decide to close 1.5 hours early and treat people like you did. Won’t be back and won’t be recommending this place to anyone who is visiting.

We were here for an hour and a half, and the service was extremely disappointing. It took 45 minutes to get two burgers, and our server only came to the table twice—the first time to take our order, and the second to drop off the food. I asked for drink refills and ended up finishing my entire meal before they ever came back. It looked like only one person was serving all the tables, while another stood behind the counter the whole time. The food was fine, but the service was well below acceptable. Perhaps this was a rough afternoon for the Ranchers Roost.
