Our visit last night was not the experience I was hoping for. We have gone to Amici's for years. Our first time was way back when they were still at 53rd. and Sheridan.
I had the eggplant parmesan, which was very good. I don't know if the kitchen staff changes, or what? The eggplant portion was very small, three slices of eggplant the size of a silver dollar.
The BEST EVER! Always my favorite!
I've dined at all the old school North Denver Italian restaurants since I was a boy so I don't say this lightly. I had the cavatelli Saturday Mar 30th. Not an item you find on many menus but my favorite from childhood. This is the best cavatelli I've ever had and I make my own occasionally. Not a bad meatball either.
