Outstanding value in an old-time atmosphere.

I ordered the Denver omelette and it came with overcooked eggs topped with ham, pepper, and onions which isn't an omelette, it didn't taste good and it didn't look very good either so I don't know what people are ordering at this place for it to be so busy.

Food was awful. Steak was so overcooked that the plate it was served on was less tough. Everything was way too salty. And, they charge a fee for paying with a card that is not disclosed until you go to pay. Staff was very rude as well. I can't believe this place has been around as long as it has, because it is just terrible. We will not be back.

Worst meal I’ve ever eaten . Bland, cold , and honestly smelt horrid . Was polite and waited for everyone around me to get served hoping my food was next . After we finished our second drinks we ate finally , chili cheese fries were a bust and my hamburger was undercooked if not almost rare . Tipped and left with a smile even though we felt mistreated . Won’t be coming back !(:

Used to go here all the time but hadn't been there in years. Had breakfast there today and it was the same friendly atmosphere and good food that I remembered

Everyone is always so friendly here and the portions are great for the price. I got a kids blueberry pancake and it was as big as the whole plate! Its a very cozy diner where everyone knows eachother and have been going for years.

This cafe is so cozy and seriously gives 90s vibes. I don’t even know how to explain how it felt like I stepped back in time, the atmosphere reminded me of what going out with my family as a kid was like.

The waitress was super kind and attentive. And the food was good but man, I should have gotten breakfast! There were so many things I wanted to try and I made too quick a choice.

We got the chorizo breakfast burrito, the chorizo is $1.25 extra, and it came smothered so make sure to specify if that’s not how you’d like it. And the classic cheeseburger.

Burrito: 8/10
Cheeseburger: 7/10

The cheeseburger is a flat patty and the flavor wasn’t my favorite. And the fries were pretty squishy. But my parents had the biscuits and gravy the weekend before and absolutely loved them, so I’ll definitely be going back.

It’s a good price for the portions! You don’t find many places with that combo anymore!

It's no wonder that this restaurant is very popular and busy. The employees are very efficient and friendly and the food is very good.

Ate there for the first time and had an overall great experience. I'll start with the room for improvement; the waitress who had us sit wasn't clear about where we were going to sit. Sounds like from previous reviews, its sit yourself. She was a bit snippy, but the place was packed and we got the last seat. The same waitress, took our drink order and seemed stressed. Ok for the good. We had the biscuits and gravy and also an egg white omelet. Both were plentiful and delicious. The waitress we ended up with was busy, but friendly. Food came out in a timely manner and she checked on us regularly. She didn't get our drink order originally, but once she knew she kept them topped off. We had to pay at the counter which its been a while since we have eaten at a place you had to do that. I did tip well as I am use to mandatory tips where service is terrible and staff are snobbish. I hear they have a decent pork chop dinner so we will be back to give it a try.

I am loathe to write this review, but fair is fair. Coming from an area where diners were plentiful, and beloved, moving to Colorado meant leaving all that behind me.
Until this morning.
Apple Ridge Cafe is the answer to your diner dreams. The food is excellent. The staff is wonderful, both friendly and helpful. The prices are way reasonable. Absolutely worth the wait for a table.

The interior is small, but don't let that stop you. Everything is homemade. The steak and eggs was perfect, just as I ordered. The mashed potatoes never saw a box. My daughter had the bisquits and gravy, and loved it.
They have pumpernickel rye toast. Their coffee was excellent, and I never drained my cup. (Prompt refills and I never had to ask )

Soooo good.
It was a real pleasure to have a meal here, and we will be back often. Thank you to all of you, for being just what this transplant needed, to feel like she was home.

If you are looking for a local joint where everyone knows you by name and pick up a conversation that you left off months before, this is the place for you. The food is just how your grandma used to make, the environment is welcoming and can be quite busy which is a good thing. The staff especially Jodi and Kelli are outstanding. I highly recommend this diner as your go to place in Wheat Ridge.

The food is great. The pancakes are the size of your plate. I had the 2-2-2, two eggs , two meats and two pancakes. The only problem we had was the seating. All their seating is booths so our group of seven had to wait for adjacent booths to become available.
