Food was okay. We were missing 3 items from our carryout order. I called the restaurant and they said they were indeed not put in the bag. I live over an hour away, so returning that day was not an option. I was told I would get a call back after they slowed down that day, weeks later and I never received a call back.

I discovered this place through the inKind app and I've been back thrice since then. Everyone likes their Q differently so I'll keep my review short, here are some of their items I've particularly enjoyed:
Ribs - Solid bark on these, my kind of texture.
Burnt ends - Not greasy like most.
Smoked Baked Beans - Probably the heartiest beans around town. I could eat these as a bowl with some corn bread on a chilly afternoon.
Cole Slaw - Not dripping in mayo or sugary sweet. Great to pair with rich proteins.
Wings - I usually like my wings sauced up but these are good on their own for a few. Their blue cheese is chunky and to my liking.
Carolina Vinegar sauce - Great way to punch up any meat.
Smoked Sausages - I've tried two varieties and both had snappy casings or seemed like they did.

I'm not a calorie counter, I eat ribeyes every chance I can. That being said, their meats are on the leaner side which I appreciate. Some other places leave their meats sitting in pans of drippings, and the meat & smoke flavors get lost in the sauce.

The employees truly care about the service and have always been welcoming.

Exceptional customer service from the team especially from Aaron.

Meat plate with two sides plus a drink ($26 after tip)

Pulled pork - tender and not super fry, pairs well with the bbq sauce (they have several options) flavor profile is mild, I was wishing for some more kick behind the seasoning. 3.5/5
Fries - really good and I love whatever house rub they use for them. They are shoestring but cooked well and not too crispy 4/5
Baked beans - nice flavor and they add in meat, it is a bit weird texture wise as it seems to have cheesy profile and pull. I don’t hate them but I don’t know if I would get them next time. 3/5
Slaw - has a weird undertone flavor I can’t quite place. Not my favorite but I am also not wanting to toss it in the trash 2.5/5
Cornbread - he was so sweet to give me a free slice. It isn’t bad at all, has a sweet and salty mix of flavor. Not the best I have had but definitely not terrible! 3.5/5
Sweet tea - very good, usually it either tastes sour or is barely sweet but this one is just right.

No service, whatsoever, no one even said hello when we walked in. We weren't sure if we were supposed to wait to be seated or just seat ourselves, so I just grabbed a menu and found an open table. 10 minutes, then 15... still no one talked to us. Got up to order food at the counter, rude service. No hello or thank you from the guy.
Food was flavorless, couldn't taste any smoke flavor on the pulled pork or on the sausage. Their coleslaw was just blah. Potato salad was clearly from Costco. Just overall really bad. There wasn't even the aroma of smoke in the place. Their sauces absolutely are not homemade. Poor selection of drinks as well; unless you like fruity or ipa beers. No actual beer flavored beer there. My wife and I wasted $40.00 on a pulled pork sandwich with fries that were soggy, undercooked and less than an inch long(we had to use forks to eat them) and a sausage sandwich with a very small scoop of Costco potato salad. Will not be going back. They're flavorless and overpriced. Hell, even the Mo's bbq that used to be on Broadway was better than these guys. How do you have a bbq/smoke pit restaurant without any smoke aroma or flavor?!? Highly suggest that you go elsewhere for good food.

While we loved the pulled pork and burnt ends, the brisket was overcooked and dry. The cornbread was also hard and inedible. Given the prices, I expected better quality. Maybe adding more moisture to the brisket recipe would help. Overall, it's still a great spot for BBQ, but some dishes need improvement. The mac & cheese was a disappointment as well.
