No carts inside or outside the store. I live just down the street but now do all my shopping at Sprouts 38th/Kipling location where there are always carts available and informed employees glad to help. Safeway claims that all there carts and baskets are stolen yet Sprouts does not have a problem. The pharmacy, understaff for years, has finally increased staff and provides good service.

I have been coming here for 8 years customer service has been awesome until tonight carts are an issue I understand that but the low point tonight was if you wanted to buy groceries you had to go to self checkout only I am handicapped and saw a gentleman whom usually helps check people out asked him if there was anyone to checkout other then self checkout was told he has better things to do like facing product then helping customers checkout I proceeded to leave my stuff at counter and he asked me to put everything back if I wasn't willing to use self checkout. Needless to say I left it as it seems he has ample time to put it away as customer service is no longer a priority I live across the street from store but now take my business elsewhere other then using pharmacy shame on you and your employees whom have decided the customer is not a priority Jami coleman

This is the closest and most convenient grocery store for me to go to, so I do frequent it. That being said they are consistently out of (what I consider to be) pantry staples, like soy sauce, garlic powder, and I've even seen them be completely out of ice cream. I do think that one was due to their fridge systems though. Another huge negative is at least 1/week when I'm there, carts are out of stock in the entry way. So I have to go walk through the parking lot to find them. I've honestly given up on finding baskets. It's super rare they have them available, so a lot of times I just carry things with my hand. The staff is pleasant, but there are clearly some operational things that are a bit off.

They never ever have enough carts at this location. Customers are always outside waiting for someone to come out of the store with a cart and will follow them to their cars to get the cart from them. Last time I was only able to grab a tiny bit of groceries since my only option was to use a basket. Thankfully i didnt have my baby with me, otherwise I would have just left. No way I can carry a baby and a loaded basket. PLEASE GET MORE CARTS FOR THIS LOCATION.

Don't go here unless you have big arms. There are no carts! The last 3x I've been there I have not been able to find a cart. Even outside 3 of the corals had no carts in them. Wheat Ridge has such a big homeless problem and they must take the carts. Also, wheat ridge police don't do much about crime and homelessness.

Just had a terrible interaction with an employee who wasn't wearing a name tag. I went in to see if I would be able to get some change. I approached the customer service desk, no one was there so I wait patiently. After about 5 minutes, the employee comes up to me and asks "what do you want?". Those were the exact words she used. She was a middle aged woman with a blonde 'Karen haircut'. She seemed to be working the self service area as well. After such an abrupt greeting, I smile and say "hi! I was wondering if I could get some quarters" and as soon as that was out of my mouth she responded in a short, irritated tone "we are out and I am not counting any out for you." I hadn't specified how many I needed or anything. I understand being busy, I would've been happy to make a purchase with it, had that been your policy. (As a note, I had made purchases there every day this week as I work in the same shopping center.) at this point in our interaction, I'm a bit flustered at her tone and attitude. "M'aam I am only hoping to get $3 of quarters and -" I was cut off before finishing. "I'm too busy to help you." With that she walked away from me. I truly stood there flabbergasted at the interaction that had just happened. I've worked customer service for most of my professional life and would never have treated anyone this way. Holiday, weekend, busy, slow, it doesn't matter. This was an unacceptable exchange. Despite the fact that it is easy for me to shop here, I will no longer do so. I would like a follow up from someone to discuss this interaction.

I came into the store to visit their Starbucks. When I arrived, there were two people ahead of me. Then, I noticed two Safeway employees at the end of the counter waiting for their drinks. At first, I thought nothing of it. That was until I could hear them. They were berating the barista (a senior citizen) with all of their frivolous demands. They hadn't actually paid for any of the add-ons from what I could gather because they'd probably be getting drinks that cost well over $10 each. However, they were holding up the line to the point that the women in front of me left. They told me they'd been waiting for 10 minutes while these two women were making their demands and basically harassing the Starbucks team member. I discovered they were deli employee and Deli manager when another Safeway employee walked over and informed them they had a line forming at the deli. After all, this was lunch and the Deli was unattended. They grumbled something and rolled their eyes. They eventually [slowly] walked back to the Deli to help the 6 people waiting in line on their lunch breaks. When I finally ordered from the very friendly older gentleman and he proceeded to start making my drink, the Deli manager stormed over (with Deli customers still waiting) and informed the barista he "didn't listen" to her and she proceeded to help herself to all sorts of syrups behind the bar. She never washed her hands and was touching everything. I've never seen employees treat other team members like this. And she wasn't shy about it. She was almost proud of her elitist attitude and the way she was trying to make him feel an inch tall. Mind you, he did NOTHING wrong based on my observations. It was all her and her Deli employee acting all "Karen" on this older man. Safeway, please get this under control. I did ask a few other people in the store and they claim the Deli manager and her friend do this on a near daily basis but ALWAYS when they work together. Not to mention all the people waiting in line at a Deli where literally NO ONE was helping them. Shameful to treat an older person (man or woman) like this after they've worked so hard their entire lives. And for what? Extra pumps of Vanilla syrup in your drink?

No chicken on a day when they advertise cheep chicken! Just poor business and the deli clerk was rude!!! maybe you should just close the deli if you cannot find competent workers! Ridiculous!!!!!!!

This s a filthy store, no carts or baskets in the entry way. No one working in the self check out isles. The scanners were disgusting, produce and blood from someone's meat purchase on it. I did not have enough hand sanitizer in my car to rid myself from the filth.
