Visited Chalet last Saturday! Amazing staff, very friendly and courteous, greeted right away and helpful. Wide variety of food on the menu! Very delicious, had ham and cheese omelet and French toast. Thank you!

It's a great place, food is decent... But the service makes up for the quality of the food. Every like 5 minutes you have an employee coming around giving you refills, and also the staff is extremely friendly. It's never super busy, and that's what makes it appeal to me.
It's also very inexpensive, unless I'm paying for three meals, I never pay over $30

How can someone eat with cockroach's crawling on the wall next to you? This made my wife throw up in the bathroom and refuse to eat anything else. We told the waitress about it and she said she was busy and couldn't attend to it. When we went to pay she asked how much for a tip, we didn't give one and asked for a refund for my wife's food since she got sick and the waitress replyed saying they couldn't give a refund because she ate some of it and it's against the city ordnance to give refunds once eaten off of! DO WHAT??? REALLY?? NO TIP was added and then when I got my debit statement it showed 4 dollars was added to the $43.00 bill for slim cooked food that tasted like cockroaches. Stay away from this place with all measures.. I think the only people that actually go here is the few locals that drink coffee !

The waitress's and people that work here are total jerks! The want a tip added to the bill before you pay! I wanted to talk to the owner (sitting at a table in the back) and the cashier lied to me stating he was out buying groceries! The food is no better then McDonalds, but what got me is asking for a tip before I paid for the meal.. And when I did give the waitress the 2 dollar tip, she had the attitude that it wasn't enough. LAST TIME FOR ME!
Parking: Parking sucks, plan on walking far with no easy access for disabled.

This review of a 1 star is for the Cashier lady named Debbie: Ive been going to this restaurant since the early 60's and have loved it everytime Ive gone there. Breakfast is their main course and that's what everyone usually gets.. We spent a total of close to $60.00 for 3 meals of the same choice (2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, 2 beacon strips, and small portion of cooked potato's) As I was paying my $60.00 for this simple meal "DEBBIE" asked if I wanted to add a tip to the bill, I did add a tip, and to her surprise it was too small and made it LOUD AND CLEAR TO everyone in the restaurant that I was a cheap skate (AFTER PAYING $60.00 FOR THE MEAL). She started going on on how their waitress's live off their tips (TOTAL LIE -- the average pay for a waitress in the state of Colorado is $13.75 and could go up to $18.75). DEBBIE the CASHIER was RUDE, Inconsiderate, and very VILE to say the least.. She made sure I felt 2 feet tall when I walked out!
I did my research on "HOW MUCH" it actually costs to purchase the food we had to eat as a commercial business from a commercial food supplier (SYSCO FOODS) and found out that a meal stated above only costs the restaurant a BIG TOTAL OF --- $2.76 (UNDER 3 BUCKS).
The GAUL of this LADY to play an act of SELFISHNESS and GUILT upon paying customers of such HIGH PRICES is repulsive to say the least in a situation that we are living in today. With the HIGH COST of EVERYTHING it's astonishing that anyone can even afford to go out to eat! I could have spent 60.00 at the grocery store for eggs, bread, potato's, and beacon and ate breakfast at home for a family of 3 for 2 weeks!!! And This Cashier has the GAUL to tell me my tip was to low?????
After 60 years of eating at this place I will NEVER go there again..
I tried to contact the owner --- ROBERTO --- But only talked to his son -- Junior --- and when I told him about the issue he was shocked!
It's a real shame that a staple business like this has turned to the kind of hate and slander that it has! Goodbye Chalet for GOOD!

My family and I were looking for a local diner and popped in one morning (this was some months ago). The service was solely catered to the few regulars, and we were made to feel very unwanted.
When we got our pancakes, they tasted spoiled. We then overheard that the buttermilk had gone bad. Everyone has bad days, and maybe this was the worst day to walk in because this place seems to have a lot of positive reviews. But I remembered to write a review because I'd never been treated as poorly in a diner before.
