Winchell's Donut House

They have changed staff recently and it's not the same. The last time, they put a half-formed donut in the box and today we were ignored (except for the eye contact) while they had a conversation in the back. There's closer donut places to us so we won't be back.

At almost 80 years old, they have had some time to perfect their donuts. Great coffee as well. 4 stars because no taco sauce was available for my breakfast burrito, which was otherwise delicious. If you like historical buildings, then give the atmosphere 5 stars also.

The French vanilla caramel chillas is my all time favorite coffee, anytime I see a Winchell's I have to stop and get one!!

I love donuts

I Tried to call them the night before to get donuts and coffee for a work meeting. A Latina woman who barely spoke English told me to call back in 30 minutes. I called back and the phone was off and voicemail was full…

First time and last time for me. Not a great selection. Donut holes were old and way too heavy. I bought a single, small cake donut and a bag of donut holes.. $8. Excuse me? Not worth it.

Changing your tip options: 15%, 18%, 50% is annoying and embarrassing for customers. I didn’t want to have to tell the kind employee in front of me that I accidentally tipped too much: which is obviously the tactic being used here. You hope people don’t notice, don’t care, or are too embarrassed to say anything! Pay your employees more and make less profit, full stop. To add insult to injury, the doughnut quality has gone down, leaving a strange aftertaste and a crunchy outer shell on my chocolate covered doughnuts. Sucks to see from an establishment I’ve been going to for half a decade, but this is the last visit I will be making.

Dude... donuts! Winchell's is the best in my opinion.

They do have a variety there is only one person he makes on a rotation system so but no long john Bavarian cream only donut filled Bavarian cream he is limited on English he is limited on understanding ok he talks donut talk he is a nice guy

The donuts were excellent as always, but the staff was unable to understand basic English and actually got the order wrong for the elderly couple who were in line ahead of me. I corrected the staff to make sure that the couple got what they had actually ordered, because they were unaware that the staff had gotten the order wrong.

Well...I have lived in this area 50 years and these current owners or employees are absolutely wonderful. The teams are always full with fresh donuts and coffee. The inside is clean as can be.

donuts a little heavy by tasty . 18 bucks 6 glaze 2 coffees …pssshhh who cares

Some of the donuts were like day old not soft at all... the apple fritters were great
