My husband and I were looking for a nice dinner in the area for date night. We were initially going to go to a steak house we've been to multiple times, but decided to try something new and closer to home. We are so glad we did. The meal was some of the best we've ever had and we've eaten at multiple James Beard award winners. We both started with Old Fashioneds. They were pretty standard cocktails. We took the server's recommendation for appetizer and got the Sweet Potato Croquettes. They were absolutely delicious. The perfect balance of sweet and savory. My husband then ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and house made Flatbread and I ordered the Pumpkin Sage Risotto with chicken. Again, perfectly cooked food with amazing flavors. We decided on a second round of cocktails. My husband got a second Old Fashioned and I wanted to try a cocktail off their specialty menu, so I ordered the Unprofessional Behavior (gin, fig jam, pistachio syrup, lemon, and habenero bitters). The cocktail was surprisingly delicious. We were too full for dessert, but I'm sure we would have been pleased. Upon talking to our server about the chef, we were surprised to learn he is a 21 year old self-trained chef. The manager came over to check on our meal and we gave our rave review to her. The chef came to our table to talk with us and receive our feedback on the meal. This restaurant and chef are going places. Everyone needs to watch for them because they are on track to become a destination for family friendly, fine dining. We will be back and will take anyone that visits us there. I can't wait to try more from the menu and to continue to be blown away by the balance, flavors, and superior cook.

We had an incredible birthday dinner this weekend. Everything from the drinks to the dessert were amazing! Must try the whipped ricotta, brussels sprouts, alfredo, and cheesecake was maybe the best I’ve ever had. The service was great from everyone but especially our server Amber. ☺️

Thank you, The Lodge, for the wonderful evening! I appreciate you.
The sauce in the pistachio crusted halibut over couscous and asparagus spears was to die for!
There was also live music, a dark wood atmosphere, and a complimentary mystery shot that was vodka, banana liqueur, and watermelon liqueur.

The atmosphere was great with comfy seats by the fire. Our drinks took 15 minutes to come out, we were done with our appetizer before they came. We ordered steak that was overcooked, excessively fatty and one was very dry. My dinner salad was served to my boyfriend as a side without the steak I ordered and the server didn't bring me anything. Our waiter was extremely inattentive and didn't notice I had no food served to me. The carrots were undercooked and still crunchy.

I went to the Lodge tonight for the first time and had a really amazing time. Everyone was extremely welcoming and attentive to us. Dylan was our server and he was a delight. Knowledgeable even on a brand new menu that came out today. I had the salmon and my friend had the gruper. Everything was absolutely incredible! We were so thrilled with the flavors, the Chef absolutely did not disappoint. Atmosphere was outstanding, very cozy, we sat right next to the fire place. Their pastry chef even came out and spoke with us, he was so talented with his plating and the tirimisu was phenomenal! You will love it here. Best 3 course meal and service I have had here in the quaint and beautiful Windsor. THANK YOU LODGE FAMILY!

Dining at the lodge is my husbands and my favorite thing to do. We come here almost every week and love our service and food every time.
We always request table 54 where the view is by far the best. My husband enjoyed the special this evening which was mini lamb chops and I loved the steak kabob. Our server was attentive and made sure our evening was eventful.
We will always love the lodge for their kind staff and amazing food.

We came here for our 25th anniversary with a reservation and requested a table for two by the window. After driving 90 minutes and arriving early, we found no host at the front desk—just a sign instructing us to wait. Ten minutes later the host arrived. We reiterated our reservation and special occasion, and again requested a window table. She said she needed to prep it, then returned five minutes later—only to take a phone call, wave us off, and disappear.
While we stood waiting, another party without a reservation (a dad and his young daughter) was seated immediately by a different staff member. When the host finally resurfaced, she mentioned the AC was broken and led us to a four-top in the middle of the restaurant. It was uncomfortably hot, and the window table for two we had reserved had already been given to walk-ins. When we asked about a shady corner table by the window, we were told it was held for “a guest with a reservation.” I thought that’s what we were.
After 20 minutes of waiting—on our anniversary—we left. It was clear our special occasion wasn’t going to be special here, and frankly, sitting in a hot, airless dining room wasn’t appealing either.
Fortunately, we found another restaurant nearby that welcomed us warmly, served excellent food, kept the AC running, and ensured our 25th anniversary was memorable in all the ways The Lodge failed to.

My friend and I tried this place for the first time tonight. To say that it was amazing would be an understatement! Stephanie was stellar! The ambiance was on point. The view was epic.the food was delicious. The drinks were carefully hand-crafted with carefully and love. I literally hesitate to share this for fear that too many people will start going here! So. Coming. Back.
