We stopped in here to try the burger that they say is the best in the county. They had live music going, the bar has plenty of seats, and this is a very fun-feeling place overall. You could tell this is a regulars hub, which is always a good thing. The pool table in the back is still close to the action so you don't feel separated from everyone. Elijah was great behind the bar, and had the perfect personality for this type of bar. As far as the burger, I was underwhelmed. We sat down at 745pm with the kitchen being open until 8. We heard the cook say to the bartender that he wanted to close a few minutes early. Elijah told him he had about 5-6 orders coming right now (including ours). Perhaps I caught a bad burger night, but I feel like it didn't get the love it deserved. For me, the place was a 5 for being a fun, local bar, but the food gets a 3. 4 overall.

Shared first review on our business account but I’ll duplicate since it was a family trip too -Great evening with family! Just ordered appetizers and drinks as it was meant to be a quick trip to stop and have some fries down the mountain - played a game of pool or 2 - neat place nothing fancy, chill folks - owner introduced himself and chatted a bit. Reminded me of our small town friendly places -

We had to find the server. He took awhile to get our order and then he brought it out incorrectly. He even screwed up on the drinks. My son said the tea tasted nasty. They didn’t have food that was listed online menu and what they had was not well made or fresh.

I don't understand why this place isn't busier. Great atmosphere and food. The owner came over to talk to us and the catfish was to die for. Most amazing ever!!!

This place was awesome! The vibe was local and historical. The staff was amazing! The food was so good! You wouldn’t even thing it would be when you walk in. But yum! The bathrooms are so clean, the soap is yum! Loved it! Thank you

Wow! The best fries I think I have ever eaten! The flavor, texture, and temperature were absolutely perfect! Not only that, all the ingredients on "Fat Girl Fries" were delicious, fresh, and flavorful! Also, my husband had the rubber sandwich, and it was equally delicious with high end meat!

My first time visiting. They appeared to be short handed. My Bison was passed well done / burnt, only thing I ate were the baked beans. The manager apologized. I'll give it another try sometime.

The brisket plate was two thin slices of brisket. It was good, but rather expensive for so little food. Sloppers used to be much better.

06/11/23. The food was awesome. Had the prime bomb, and it's a must get. But, the fries are WONDERFUL. The service was great, the owner can't out and spoke with you. I can't say enough food things, about this place.

OMG!!! If I could rate this experience more than a five, I would. I’m pushin’ 67 and I think I had the best meal in my life. If I was on death row, this would be my last meal: Fat Girl Fries. Oh my gosh. I never thought that coleslaw, pulled pork w/BBQ sauce, baked beans on a pile of french fries could taste so good. I really didn’t think I would eat the whole meal but I did. My wife had The Steak Bomb which was also a good choice. Our server was simply the best. And the owner was very hospitable. Kudos to these folks for doing it up right. I would definitely recommend this place for your next dining out experience.

Loved the atmosphere and food. Couldn't ask for a better local dining experience. Service was great. Owner stopped by to check on us and was an excellent host.Dietary restrictions: Had some healthy options to choose from.

We have never had a bad experience at the Ute. Our experience goes back almost 17 years as we would enjoy a meal while visiting relatives. Now that we live here we frequent the Ute at least once a month. Always enjoyed our meals and the service was awesome.

Awesome experience!! The smoked sauced wings were fall of the bone amazing!! Coming back for dinner tonight for the hickory smoked brisket and pulled pork!! So sad they sold out of the ribs before we got to order them! But selling out says enough we just have to get here sooner ?. Owners took time to say hello and the staff was very attentive!!! Love this place. Plus they have a jukebox!

We love trying local dives, but unfortunately didn't love Ute. Not very clean. Nothing remotely healthy on the menu so we went all in with the slopper figuring WTH. Burger cooked to medium rare which was good, tasty. Green chili was flat and flavorless. Overly "friendly" owner, I think, and the sole server/bartender spent the entire time bantering loudly and inappropriately. Not at all charming as I think they thought their loud-enough-for-all-to-hear conversation was. Bartender/server was friendly and service was fine. Took a while to get our one order of food, though. I didn't have high expectations. Let's just say they were met. Better options for better food in Woodland Park so we likely won't be back.
