The service was wonderful, despite a few hiccups. The food was bland and almost not edible. We visited in the past, and it was wonderful. However, the pasta was bland and needed a lot of salt and pepper, as was the French dip. The kids loved their cheese pizza. I'm guessing it was an off day?

A very interesting place. It is an old-fashioned, downtown building. The door through which you enter does not look like an inhabited place, and you have to make your way over to the stairway to get up to where the restaurant is. Once upstairs, the space is cool.
The food was a mixed bag. I went on two consecutive nights. The first night I had a pesto pasta… It had cool ingredients, like artichoke, steak, capers, sun-dried, tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, pretty much the whole kitchen sink. Even given that, however, I felt like it was lacking in much in the way of taste. The second night, I had a pizza, with mushrooms, olives, and sausage. That was quite good.
So, it is hard to say about this place. It is definitely not five out of five, but the pizza was excellent, and the space is cool. I guess that I will have to try more of the menu on future visits.
