Uptown is carrying on the tradition of excellence started by Crave. The menu offers enough selections for every taste without being overwhelming and the preparation and service were absolutely perfect. I highly recommend Uptown.

This was our 2nd time eating at Uptown. Delicious drinks, steak, salmon and chicken wings! Don't understand why place isn't crowded. Go, you won't be disappointed!

Place was only one third full on a Saturday night, which was concerning. Otherwise it was quite good.

The service was poor the waiter was unprofessional when it came to assisting. He was very sarcastic and said smart remark to my table. I was celebrating my birthday at the restaurant and was unsatisfied with the service. Ordering drinks took long to receive at table the waiter seem occupy with other things even though the restaurant was not busy Saturday night. I would not recommend this place to anybody due to the service and blatantly rude remark from the worker . The waiter also was putting the straws and utensil that was asked on the bare table without having is places on napkin or given to the person in hand. Waiter also had an issue with splitting the check he stated that it would take him long to check us out and that we had switch seats which should have never been an issue. Beware this restaurant there no energy and if another person complain or make a comment except the waiter to be funny and say something at the table. I would never come back to this place again the food was pretty good but service was terrible and unhygienic.

We hadn't been here since in changed names/owners a few years ago. Four diners ordering 4 completely different meals - it was hard to choose which one we liked best. Starting with the street corn dip and poached pear; both were a hit, but the party was divided on whether or not they would have liked the pear served warm (it was served cold) and filled with honey mascarpone and lots of pistachios. We moved onto the main courses of chicken cutlet with mashed potatoes; steak with truffle fries; orecchiette with broccoli and sausage; hamburger with fries. Everything was cooked to perfection (steak medium rare, chicken crispy and not at all dry, burger medium with just a hint of pink in the center.) The drinks were creative (did not skimp on the alcohol!) and plentiful, refilled quickly by our attentive server. Desserts as always tend to make or break a meal; these desserts did not disappoint. Banana tres leches cake, Amaretto crème brulee and the special cookie and ice cream combination along with coffee and digestif. A special treat for the evening - Live entertainment in the bar area. Not too loud, we could still have dining room conversation over the music, but found ourselves singing along to most of the tunes. There is definitely something here for everyone!

Food was good! Our party was surprised by the live performers, didn't know they did that on Sunday's! Would return.

The brunch choices all looked delicious. I chose the French Toast which was amazing, as were the home fries. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal and had plenty to bring home to enjoy again The jazz duo was awesome!

Got sat very shortly after we arrived. Victoria was our server and she has the best service. My girlfriend and I shared an appetizer, steak, and a dessert. They had a saxophone player who played everything from classic jazz to modern r&b.

I went to Uptown for a Valentine's Day dinner with my partner. The ambience and service was top tier, however the Tomahawk steak special they had that night was undercooked (which was quickly corrected by the server/staff, who even accommodated us by taking off 2 of our drinks). Other than that, Uptown was a perfect experience!

We enjoyed a wonderful Valentines dinner. My wife and I each ordered daily specials, and both were great. The sax player provided perfect dinner music, and the service was terrific.

This place has easily become one of my favorite places in town. From the great staff to the amazing food and drinks. Was pleasant to see that on one of my many trips to the restaurant their daily special was stuffed peppers, one of my favorite meals and let me tell you it did not disappoint. This place is a great place to
Visit at any time of the day for brunch dinner or if you’re trying to have a good drink at the night.

Parking: Big lot right next to restaurant with parking always available.

Wheelchair accessibility: You don’t need to go up stairs to reach the restaurant. And they have handicap parking.

Avoid all food.
Multiple times had the empanadas and almost chocked on bone pieces. Chicken in any salads is gooey. I can’t imagine what any chicken dish tastes like.
A shame.

Update#2: While I'm still extremely disappointed with the change, we've been coming back as they sneak in some of the old menu items. My wife was extremely excited to get the Datils on our last visit as those are her absolute favorites. If they have the pistachio cake when you visit, I highly recommend trying it. Just as good as the tres leche.

Update: Wow, what happened!? I had to change my rating because they completely changed this restaurant. What was once a delectable treasure is now nothing more than your average bar. Food is now the same ol' tired bar food. Tater tots!? Really? How disappointing. Why you would turn an amazing restaurant with an amazing menu and atmosphere into a bland, dark, run of the mill, dime a dozen, restaurant is beyond me. I used to come here for all my special occasions. Wife and I recently showed up for our Anniversary nice and dressed only to walk into this Ansonia street bar. So disappointing. Nothing special to see here now. Just overpriced bar food. ?

Sweet surprise! You would not expect to find a restaurant such as Crave in the Valley and my wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we just decided to stop and check it out. Reminds me of dining in Miami. Clean restaurant, excellent food, and service is for the most part superb (depending on which server you get). I recommend the Datils (Out of this world), the Costillas Cortas (melt in your mouth), and a piece of Tres Leches cake to finish things off (a little bit of heaven). Definitely our new favorite restaurant.
