Had Guy Peters for the 1st time last night & it was delicious. I ordered take out for my family. The woman on the phone was extra helpful & a delight. We had cheese pizza & pasta. Both were great. Best pizza in Ansonia so far, we've tried 5 places so far. The pasta didn't have the thick marinara like I normally like & I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. We'll definitely be back

The service here has gone incredibly downhill.Ordered one meal and ONE pizza at 435 on a Sunday. Was quoted 45 minutes. No problem.Showed up at 50 minutes to be safe and was told someone turned down the ovens and the pizza wasn't ready. What? Ended up waiting an additional THIRTY minutes for my food. Was not offered anything for the trouble and no one even apologized. Despite the decent food, I won't be returning. It's a shame -- they could've handled it a lot better (if that was even the truth).

A relative newcomer in town, our first meals from Guy Peters were through a delivery service. Given what we experienced, this will be our first and last time. The menu is reasonably sized and features Italian favorites and pizza. Eggplant Parmigiana was a reasonable size and served with pasta and a side salad. The eggplant was well prepared and the house sauce good. At $28, however, and the fact that there is no protein in this meal, it is grossly overpriced. Why other entrees (meatball parm or chicken parm) are priced less is beyond my understanding. Our second selection was a pepperoni calzone. By far, the worst calzone we have ever eaten. It was filled with a minimal amount of ricotta and overloaded with mozzarella. It arrived almost like a stuffed bread rather than a calzone. Most appalling was the degree to which it was overcooked. Almost blackened, the dough had a bitter burnt taste and it was virtually inedible. The restaurant was closed when I called to comment and emails to the establishment (including pictures) remain unanswered. Given that the eggplant was at good, albeit overpriced, Guy Peters get 2 stars and that is IMHO generous. I would consider trying the restaurant again, but since their doesn't appear to be any interest in responding to my email or phone call, we won't be disappointed a second time.

Was really excited to have a nice Italian restaurant in the area. I live really close by and decided to order and pick up. I ordered the garlic parmesan wings, a cheese pizza, and Bolognese pasta. I did not enjoy the wings. I personally like wings crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the flavors just weren't there for me. Was my first time trying this flavor of wings, and it just wasn't for me. The pizza was good! Crispy and had good flavors. The Bolognese, I did not enjoy either. It was a blend of veal, pork, and beef in marinara sauce. Really had high hopes for this, but there was very little meat, and the sauce just wasn't enjoyable. I will give this place another try. I'd like to go and have dinner inside, and hopefully, it will be a great experience.

My husband & I frequent Guy Peters weekly not to mention pizza for the kids every Friday! We cannot say enough about the food! Phenomenal huge portions & extremely delicious. Andrew, Hayley & his staff are extremely welcoming & friendly. We feel like family when we are at their restaurant. I would highly recommend to anyone that has not tried their restaurant to please give it a try. You will not be disappointed!!! Although, what was extremely disheartening to witness was a particular party that attended dinner & music featuring Jack Lynn. From the moment they walked in that just set the tone of the dinner. They were unsatisfied how the food was served at their table not in the correct order of apps. Entree etc.. One woman asked to speak to the manager & she stated her complaints. She was not satisfied with the response. Fast forward Andrew the owner of the establishment came to speak to the patrons & was more than willing to accommodate them. They continued to complain while Andrew held his composure & was willing to rectify the situation. Apparently still not satisfied with the end result. They ate their entire meal & didn’t even pay their bill. To the Karen that made it uncomfortable to the other patrons that were trying to enjoy their food & entertainment we thank you for leaving! We’ll continue to support Guy Peters.

went there with 3 other ppl, fixed menu sit down order 3 margaritas 1 pinot, go to reorder the waitress brings 2 margaritas 1 chardonnay and says “I brought you a chardonnay “, ok I let that go. We order our apps 3 shrimp cocktails 1 Meatball app, then we order our dinner …1/2 an hour later our dinner comes minus the apps we bring u it to the waitresses attention she says “ya we brought it to another table” never had the sense enough to apologize. So now comes our dinners , our salad our apps all at once on a very small table , she proceeds to pile our dishes next to eachother it was like being at the diner. Here’s the best part of our night the manager comes over she’s the wife wouldn’t listen to anything just kept saying we’re very very busy we made a mistake. Then apparently this was too much for her she had to get her arrogant less then professional husband to try and incite an argument on top of everything else. He is actually arguing with my friends husband about starring him down????????? what ‘????? no wonder why this waitress was the way she was . Instead of using this as a teaching tool of what not to do he rewarded her stupidity. Would never go back average at best .
