Food is always good but stingy when you ask and PAY for extra sauce. The indian girl always charges a different price and is rude and does not know the menu, if it wasn’t for her this would be a 5 star but she kills the vibe and just makes things up when you ask her about the menu. She needs to be trained and learn about the food they serve.

I gave them a second try after a poor first experience. I ordered fries & received nachos and which for $17 should have had more than two bites of chicken and a tea spoon of diced tomatoes (there was nothing else on it besides cheese) . I ordered jerk chicken and it was not authentic jerk, it was sweet baby rays barbecue sauce shamelessly out of the original bottle & the “cabbage” they serve is cole slaw, not fresh steamed cabbage like it would be at an authentic Caribbean place. The music is so loud you cant hear the cashier and the decor is hanging so low my boyfriend hit his head on it.

I love this place! I have gone here multiple times over the past month and every time the food is hot, the service is great, and I believe the prices are fair. As a native Jamaican who frequents other Caribbean restaurants in New Haven and Bridgeport, it’s nice to have a place close to home.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time. Finally got there and I’m NOT disappointed. I have the curry goat and it was phenomenal. If you like goat meat then I suggest that. If you don’t that’s fine, try the curry chicken. You’ll love it. And they are so nice inside.

10/10 The ville is an all around great time. If you’re looking for good food, good drinks, good music, and good vibes this is the place to be . The pepper shrimp is my fav dish. There arent many Jamaican restaurants that give you the island feel like the ville.

I had high hopes for this place but I was terribly disappointed. I should have known by the cheap plastic outside decor the inside wouldn't be much better. There is loud music and the overwhelming smell of Marijuana. The food tasted old and like old cooking oil. The prices were ridiculous. I was stomach sick for days after. I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone.

My order was the brown stew chicken. It was ok, not the Jamaican rate I'm use to.

I tried this place for the 1st time today. The Spicy beef patties are amazing. I ordered the jerk and stewed chicken togo along with the beef patties.
I understand they want to save on meat but the portions were too small. I had a drumstick that was cut up. There was shards of bone throughout my meal. I cut my gum on a bone in my rice. My children also had the same issue. There wasn't a lot of flavor I had to season and put hot sauce. The meals come with rice & peas and cabbage. They need to be more specific. It was coleslaw not steamed cabbage. It had pickles/cucumber in it, carrots with cabbage. Which was all hard and not yummy at all. I'm disappointed I won't be back there again. The place was decorated beautifully and the staff was amazing. I just prefer not to bleed eating rice because they're chopping the chicken and leaving bone shards. I'm glad it was me that got cut because it would've been an issue if it was my child. Who cuts drumsticks?
