We ordered takeout online from Koi tonight for the first time. The food was ready in less than 20 minutes and it was amazing. We especially loved the Sweet Potato roll and the Shrimp Tempura roll.

My Japanese husband and I live in Ansonia and we really were hoping for a place not too far away to get good Japanese food. Unfortunately, this is not too authentic or special. My husband says the chef or owner is not Japanese, which he could tell from the rice. Typically, most of these restaurants are owned by Koreans or Chinese, and they season (or in this case, DON'T season the sushi rice) differently. It was bland and too cold. Other small dishes were nothing to write home to the neighbors about. Not memorable at all. Overall, another disappointment with the food in Ansonia. I'd like to try it again, but he says no... it's just not real Japanese food to him. The search continues.

I was there with my family on our way back to NJ we had plenty of options to eat but we decided to try Koi Sushi Steak restaurant which is fully recommended from now. Specials thanks to Sherry she was very friendly and helpfully. Very good food congrats to the chef and cookers
