Called here to try out the tuna grinder. An angry man answered and told me take out only! I was getting take out anyways so that worked. He yelled a number at me after I ordered and hung up. I walked in to pick up and the entire restaurant was closed up except for the take out counter so it must always be like that ? Not sure. Anyways, picked up my very generous looking half a tuna for under $10 and left. This was one of the best tuna grinders I've ever had. Bread was lightly toasted. Tuna was double the portion of the pizza place down the street and it tasted great. Will be back to try more items for sure.

I've been eating here for 7 years. Before COVID it had a bustling dining room, but since COVID, they only serve takeout. Everything on the menu is very good from the pizza to calzones and main courses, but my favorite has to be the eggplant parmesan. Man, it's delicious. You can order it over pasta or by itself. Who needs pasta when the eggplant tastes so good. I love eggplant but everywhere I've ordered it, it's cut too thick and it's so heavily breaded that it doesn't taste like eggplant. Or else, it has the consistency of mush. Not here! Central serves a large order of barely breaded, thinly sliced eggplant with a delicious red sauce and the obligatory mozzarella. Layer after layer of the tantalizing vegetable has that firmness and sweetness that it's known for. It's served with a side salad which is simple and fresh and includes a couple of olives, a spicy pepperoncini and a large piece of Italian bread for $14.95. Ad $2.00 for a large helping of pasta. Don't hesitate. Try Central Pizza.

Ordered meat ravioli (comes with salad and bread+butter) and a large garlic bread. The food was fantastic and the bag was impressively packed. All items pictured were $24 total and were enough for two

After many years, we decided to order meatball grinders from Central. Wow! They are better than we remembered. A whole grinder is enormous but more importantly delicious. Tons of meatballs, cheese, peppers and a little sauce. Toasty grinder torpedo bread. No reason to go elsewhere. We have a lot of great choices in Berlin but for meatball grinders, this is the place.

Been coming here for years. Everything on their menu is good. Portions are large. And they are consistent. Grinders and salad are massive. Ask for your pizza well done. Get that extra crisp!

We didn't know Greek-style pizza until we came to Connecticut & experienced Crossroads in Bridgeport (amazing, by the way). It is cooked with oil in the pan, as I understand it.Stopped in the other night and spoke with Jason, part owner, & Alex, chef. Great customer rapport. As for the pizza, excellent! Dare I say, better than Crossroads (bite my tongue). It's actually quite similar to a place in St. Louis I grew up with... Pantera's. The pizza is a medium crust with slightly firmer exterior (not quite like French bread but close) and a soft airy interior. The cheese is just-right ooey gooey and the toppings are plentiful, e.g. hand-pulled Italian sausage (as it should be.I know the best pizzas in the world are consistently Napolitan but they're missing a great segment to consider... Greek style.Great pies, gents. You will see us again! We highly recommend you.
