Normally I don’t water my time posting BUT. after a long day of work last think I want is cook. I order takeout weekly from this place.is ok just their portion not great but usually food is pretty good. Now today was definitely stiff on portion. The calamari was $9 for 8 tiny pieces no joke, u get double the amount form a $2can calamari. 2nd i always order mix veggies with garlic sauce. Also sauce comes separately, today they put it right on the veggies and just looks like a nasty soup or soy sauce. Only thing I ate was the eggs the rest straight to the garbage.. very disappointed. Ima just keep making the trip back to Hartford

I love their bento box. Especially the beef or chicken teriyaki bento box. It comes with delicious teriyaki meat with a bit of vegetables, a side of white rice, shumai, sushi (California roll) with a side of ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce, a side salad, and a bowl of miso soup. You get a little bit of everything, so you definitely can't go wrong with it! Everyone is always very kind, pleasant, and welcoming, and give great service.

I have never dined in, always have done takeout and typically sushi roll or the walnut shrimp. Which is usually great. I think they focus on quality, but we tried their hibachi tonight and that is a miss. We had their salmon hibachi and it isn’t anything like the typical hibachi (soak on top of a bed of veggies) and no noodles included. On top of that my wife almost swallowed a bone that was still in the salmon! A cardinal sin for any restaurant. I think we will stick with Fancy Sushi regarding hibachi going forward, probably sushi too.
Update: Pregnant wife got food poisoning from the Salmon Hibachi dish, we will not be back.

If I was posting this review a couple of years ago, it would have been 4 or 5 stars. At that time, I was a big fan of the Spicy Maki Combo, (3 rolls, a tuna, a yellowtail tuna, and a salmon). As one would expect, each roll had a different fish and it was excellent. Now, all 3 rolls have the same ground fish meal. Think chopped ham and pickle, if you're familiar with that. I'm sad to say, it's terrible.
