So...I've been ordering grinders here for a long time. They were generally very good. But there's been a drastic change recently. The last two times I've ordered them, they contained less than half the amount of meat and other ingredients in them that they typically used to contain. So much so, that they are not nearly worth the price, nor are they at all satisfying to eat. The dreaded shrink-flation, folks.Sadly, lost my business. Coming on the heels of the place spending an obvious bundle to completely rebuild their outdoors space in the past year, I'm not going to be on the hook to finance their building investments. The Ave is a decent neighborhood tavern (not a bad place to have a beer), but you can get a better, more reasonably priced grinder from other locally owned places with 3 minutes of it. And I have started doing so.

Went to get take out at the request of a family member, 2 sandwiches and a small pizza. We were told 25 minutes. Arrived on time, no parking for take out and lot was full. I was told our order was not ready, waited nearly 1/2 hour. Drove the 5 minutes home and food was stone cold. It looked like it had been sitting for quite a while. Quality was mediocre at best.

Amazing potato pizza, flavor was phenomenal. Also got wings which I will give 7 out of 10 for the teriyaki and 5 out of 10 for Buffalo hot. Hot did not have any real heat. Wings were not crispy but still thoroughly cooked. Overall experience was 9. Server was on point all night.

Everything was absolutely amazing. Havent had a 10 star experience in a long time. The food was exceptional. The service was great, as soon as you finish a dish a host was right on top of it. Plenty of room on the table, and in the restaurant. The waiting area is comfortable and large.Beautiful inside and out. The waiter was amazing got everything in a timely manner. I cant wait to eat my leftovers already. The prices were also normal and not over priced. Definitely will be back!

What a cozy, delicious, and wonderful spot for drinks, appetizers, and an amazing meal. I met up with some coworkers today to have a cocktail but ended up having a few! The espresso martini was not only yummy but eye-catching, too! The bartender makes pretty chocolate swirl designs on top! I also switched it up and did the dirty martini, which was delish! Those bartenders were quite the mixologists and even made us green tea shots! The stuffed mushrooms were cheesy and yummy, and the mussels fra diavolo were very flavorful. Other entree dishes that were tried were the flank steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe and the crusted cod with risotto and broccoli rabe. I heard both were phenomenal. My favorite is always dessert though and the molten chocolate lava cake did not disappoint! It was topped with vanilla ice cream chocolate sauce and even had the whipped cream and cherry! What an overall excellent experience! Thank you, The Avenue!

This place always makes me happy. The 5 stars are because the food and ambiance is always great, the staff are always friendly and I just feel relaxed and at home here. Definitely gets busy from time to time but that is the sign of a great establishment!!

I ordered 12 large pizzas for my daughters 26th birthday party. I called 3 hours before to place my order and paid over the phone. They normally cut their large pizza into 8 pieces. I requested to have them double cut so there is 16 pieces per pizza. Customer service on the phone was great and there was no issues. I sent my sister to pick up the pizza and asked her to grab a few sides of ranch dressing. When she got there she was told she had to pay for the dressing. My sister called me and I spoke with the lady who was ringing her out. I told her I paid over $200 for my order why did I have to pay for a few sides of ranch. She told me it’s only $10. I asked to speak with a manager. The manager never got on the phone. My sister was given a few sides of ranch that were barley filled up. The food is great but I was very disappointed they would even consider asking for me to pay for a few sides of ranch after spending over $200 in one order and being rude about it on top of that.
