Amazing beers and cool taproom. They have a kitchen as well now for food! The beers are excellent and I always leave with some swag. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Always a wonderful experience at Back East! Between the most wonderful staff, delicious food and oh yeah, the ? beer. Everything hits the right spots at Back East. Plus they go above and beyond to donate to our annual golf tournament for veterans. There is never a shortage of great things to say!

Slightly above average beer. The brewery has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, TV’s, kids games, and live music on weekends I’d come back if/when I’m in the area.

This is my favorite brewery in the area. I have been going here for several years, so it is finally time to leave a review. This place is big and popular, so expect a huge crowd on Fridays or during any events. It consists of one big main hall with no separation and an outdoor patio separated into two smaller areas. The brewery recently added a kitchen and it is awesome - now you can order excellent food from the comfort of your table.

The main attraction in any brewery is, of course, beer. Back East caters to all tastes here - they have a wide variety of most sorts of beers (except stouts). The taps are well suited for conservative people, as some positions on tap never rotate, and also for craft beer enthusiasts. For the latter, they always brew modifications of their mainline beers plus totally new brews in their "Find your way back series". They also have limited releases, e.g., once a year, they brew their Triple IPA "Triple Scoop" (with huge crows waiting to buy it). No beer flights are served, but you can ask for a short glass.

All in all, I love this place and will definitely recommend it to any beer lover.

Okay so the beer is some of the best in Connecticut, of course, however the $$food$$ “kitchen” is anything but. I don’t know about you, but the food comes out hot outta my kitchen! The staff can’t be bothered to text you or bring it out to you when it’s ready and therefore you pretty much have to order it and wait at the counter til it’s ready if you wanna eat it hot. Just paid $16 for some pathetic cold af nachos. Too bad no more food trucks bc they were so much better!

Awesome brewery.Great range of beer styles on tap and for what I was able to try, they were all great.What I appreciate most was the service. Bartenders were friendly and helpful. Not snobby at all and just down to earth service which I always truly appreciate in a craft brewery. They allow you to sample what you like before commiting which is getting a bit more rare these days.Grabbed a few 4 packs to bring home and if I'm back in the area I will for sure be making a stop again.Lastly, I did sample the restaurant by trying the animal fries and they seemed like a solid indication that the food would be good. Had to leave for a team dinner though so didn't try any actual dishes.

5.6.22 Loved my double IPA, and my friends had and liked the cider. Note that they do serve wine, too. Ample indoor and outdoor seating (some areas with heat lamps). Today, live music and a food truck. Check online for who and what days. Many cans for take-out, super friendly staff, long bar area to get your pour so lines move quickly. Family-friendly environment. Love this place!

The beers here are the best in the area by far. I really like their new rewards program. It makes feel appreciated as a repeat customer to get a free beer every once in a while! The addition of the kitchen was a great idea as well! Keep up the great work!

Great tasting room! A little crowded when we got there on a Saturday but that’s to be expected. Beers and food were both good, my suggestion is get the burger!!

Went there last night with family (3 generations). I have always loved their beer and we tried various food items. All were delicious. The burger is outstanding!

What a place! More social drinking space than a bar. Very welcoming and not loud or crowded. Wonderful service and a great menu of drinks.
