Our waiter was fantastic, new the menu and was just made a birthday dinner a very wonderful experience. Noise was pretty load, would not want to sit in the front room again, but if that waiter was only in that room I would take it!~

We thought the food and ambiance were great. Our bartender couldn’t be bothered to do any facet of her job. We had to hail her drink orders, our food, silverware, our check. It pained me to leave 10%

Our experience was I did like the calamari it was probably the best I have ever had but that was the only thing I liked ! The beef short ribs were not good and the dessert for 14.00 was awful. I never had Lava cake that bad. There was a little cake and two much filling. My daughter said we have to come to this restaurant because it was amazing, so we tried it ! The menu was a little to be desire. We will not be coming back! We use to Like to go to Abagail's and the restaurant really slipped so we won't be going back there again. Due to some miscommunication with our friends regarding the day we were meeting for lunch, my wife and I ate here twice within four days. We had lunch both times, and the menu is appropriately varied and very good. I found the Reuben to be delicious, although the regular fries were a bit cold. However, on both occasions, the service was subpar. During our first lunch, after waiting some time for our entree, our server came over and asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu. When we said we hadn't received our entree, he seemed confused. We then had to wait for the entrees. On our second visit, we waited for an hour to be served our entrees, while we noticed that some people who were seated after us had already received their food. To summarize: Good food, poor service.

The noise level was inaceptable since other customer were extremely loud, probably from excessive drinking. They staff was slow and careless which drive us to a low tip (to improve performance) which is always uncomfortable.

Republic always shines! Their cocktails are witty. Service is spot on. Angela is present , always helping her team and tending to guests. I've never had a bad meal.

The food was delicious, creamy onion soup, nicely flavored scallops tagliatelle , chopped heirloom tomatoes with feta and frisée, extremely rich chocolate lava cake, needed more cake, less lava. The service was disappointingly slow, waiter was perfectly pleasant, but really who wants their cocktail after the soup was served, terrible timing, and we didn't order fancy cocktails. After that, the service slowed way down, mostly because the staff was running up and down the stairs catering to a loud table of golfers. My partner received his second bar order just minutes before the desert was served. Honestly, I expect better from Mill on the River group. I had not been to this restaurant in many years and was expecting a nice dinner out based on the reviews, but the noise was deafening, conversation scarcely possible; I won't return to this restaurant, maybe take out.
